Wait a minute, don't let him tell you he has a DC, If he did he would know about the issues. The update caused even more problems. Faint ringtone (could barely hear the first ring), pause in mic (hello?...hello?). For me, the random screech and cutoff was the last straw. On my third refurb I went in the store and let the manager get his ear blown off. They then swapped it for a brand new razr. Yep, had the sim card issue...HAD. No phone is perfect but this one is very very close. The only thing that bothers me now is the fact that Verizon still has that skipping stone for sale and at quite a high price. I can only imagine the river of DCs pouring back into the factory now.

I contacted Moto yesterday to ask about the update and was told it was still in the soak period. I asked if they knew when it would be ready for release to the general public and they had no answer. My phone was seriously aggravating me today and around 1am I happened to do a system update check and the moto update was available. I installed it and the data connection issue is gone from what I can tell. Not only that, but the 4G performance is like night and day. I was honestly thinking about taking my phone back for something else, but with the performance change with this update I am sticking with it!

Classic. I think I may be taking the droid razr back and getting a different phone. I am not sure what but I can tell you that I am incredibly frustrated with this device. It never works! Never has service. Why do these companies release phones before they are ready to be released? There is something to be said about apple products... They are very reliable.

Got the update. My droid RAZR was working great before the update, now my data connection is totally unreliable. Switches between 3G and no data all the time. Only in very strong 4G areas do I get a 4G signal. I don't think this update will pass the initial deployment test so I would hold off on updating to it.

so the newer processor with the newer operating system with no skin and less bloat runs slower than the older processor with the older operating system with a skin on top and more bloat? That seems rather unlikely given the reviews I've read and from my experience as a Moto user and my play time with the Razr.

Definitely agree with that. They actually paid attention to customer concerns, and from what I've been following, there arent many that had complaints to begin with.

For the MAXX... If you follow rumors, and seeing as how you're on this site I'm sure you do ;), it's going to be the RAZR with a higher def screen. There may be a few other enhancements, but the biggest focus is the screen. There "may" be a removable battery, but I'm honestly doubting it will. But who knows... We'll have to wait and see.
