The thing is this if you have been watching your permissions recently they are using software to get your phone number and serial number so they can detect who your calling and when plus your location and a recent article that was experiment to monitor customers in mall and stores they went to. So my point is developers stop putting it in the app my life is my business not there’s and advertising adds is just a smokescreen for knowing what you are up to. Now that being said just

So im curious. The thing that everyone is up in arms about seems to be that it can log your phone numbers dialed and message content (like the carrier doesn’t already log this)

I would be more worried about it grabbing your passwords and the like (as you sign into online banking, etc), and eventually getting “hacked” and some scammer getting rich from said info.

I feel that most all carriers should log *basic* network performance on various phones. if they see that alot of incredible 2′s have poorer network reception and quality than other devices, maybe they can issue an update to bump the power to the radio or something (if they even cared)

North Carolina State University finds most Android phone full of privacy holes.

Surprisingly enough, I couldn’t help but find it true. While we were supposed to have privacy and protections from bad apps, unless you read permissions with keen eyes, most of that stuff just don’t happen. There needs to be a proper anti-virus-like App for Android soon…

HTC is not responsible… the carriers are. HTC phones on VZ don’t have this – my friend checked his Incredible 2 tonight, it’s fine.
