Continuing on our quest to bring you all there is to know about the Galaxy Nexus and Ice Cream Sandwich ahead of Verizon’s launch, we have another quick hitting Android 4.0 features video. In our previous video we touched on the boot up time, screenshots, disabling system apps and more. In this video, we cruise through the browser, editing movies, and the greatly-improved voice-to-text engine. We are in full Galaxy Nexus mode right now with the unlocked version landing on our doorsteps over the weekend. We posted up a quick gallery on Friday, but have since posted a hardware and software tour to give you a feel for this amazing new smartphone. Going forward, we’ll be tossing out Ice Cream Sandwich highlight videos to get you prepared for the day that Verizon finally decides to approve the phone for sale. In this first video, we take a look at disabling system apps, how the Settings menu is handled, the incredibly fast boot time, and more.

A month ago today, we announced our November Gobbler Gaming Giveaway (NGGG), a month long contest that included four (4) NVIDIA Tegra 2 powered tablets and a couple of gaming-inspired prize packs. For the last 3 weeks, we have handed out a different tablet, with the prize packs (Jamboxes and $25 gift cards) being tacked on during the last two giveaways. Up first was the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 followed by the Asus Transformer last week and then another GTab. So far we have seen an intense amount of participation, but these last two weeks were even crazier thanks to the added prize packs.

With over 3,000 entries in just over a week, we are officially blown away for the 4th straight week in a row. So as to not delay this announcement any further, let’s get to it.

It has been a couple of days since we picked up a Galaxy Nexus from the UK, so it was about time we put together a quick video tour of it. The device, as you may have expected, is living up to expectations. The build of the phone far surpasses that of previous “cheap feeling” Samsung phones, the screen is gorgeous, performance-wise it’s super fast, and of course Ice Cream Sandwich is a treat to play with. Whenever we do get our hands on the LTE version here in the states, I have a feeling you will be blown away just as I have been. Battery life will be a concern when that version arrives, but I’m starting to think the stock and unlockable experience will overshadow those worries.
