Video: Verizon Galaxy Nexus Shows Off Its Micro-SIM and Boot Animation

YouTube Preview Image

And to top the night off, how about a look under the battery cover along with the boot animation of the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon? You’ll be pleased to know that the boot animation is exactly the same as the one you have seen on the GSM version of the phone. There may be two Verizon apps pre-loaded on the phone, but the rest of it appears to be a completely stock experience. Enjoy.

Cheers ___!

Will I be able to activate this phone on AT&T?

  • Tim Swann

This is the 32 GB version in case anyone is wondering.

See this every time I power up my Galaxy Nexus (HSPA+) or Nexus S…

Why does this person will have the bootloader locked???? Now that’s the real question :)

  • djvick

How much longer do I have to drool onto my keyboard?

    • Mctypethings_Gay_lover

The build up is ALWAYS better than the release.

P3Droid gets fast updates on his nexus all the time from Google, so I assume that all us verizon LTE nexus owners will also get fast untampered updates from Google just like the rest of the Nexus community.

I couldn’t care less about the 2 VZ apps.  What I do care about is what effect they’ll have on future OS updates.  When Jelly Bean arrives will it come to Gnex owners directly from Google?  Or will it first have to go to VZ to have these two apps (and possibly more) baked in first?  OS updates straight from Google, that’s one of the main reasons I want the Gnex, if VZ has hosed that up then I may pass on this phone.

Can’t believe it didn’t explode into flames or melt upon loading up.  VZW was starting to make me think this phone was seriously flawed.  Guess it’s just VZW

hopefully you can take the VZW shit off of there. I really didnt want any bloatware at all but i’ll take it. It’s alot better than other phones these days

people are still talking about this crap lol. This device will fail all of you.

    • Anonymous

      no it won’t. leave.

      • Anonymous

Mark my words, people will not be happy with this thing.

        • Anonymous

theres no reason for it to fail. you just don’t learn. and don’t spew your usual argument of crappy samsung radios and gps. the nexus is perfect. the razr, is nowhere near perfect. infact its total garbage, its an ugly, slow, locked down piece of junk just like every other phone motorola has released. so leave. and comeback with something new to say for a change.

          • Anonymous

Razor is the best device in history inside and out period. The gs2 is better than the crappy nexus.

          • Anonymous

what makes the gs2 better? im just curious explain.

          • tjmonkey15

For someone who likes the phone so much, I’d think you would at least know how to spell its name.

razor is a piece of shit!!!

Galaxy Nexus Two: Available for pre-order on 06/02/2012.  carbon fiber monocoque construction; 1920×1080 screen resolution; 5 inch screen with .01 mm bezel on all four sides; 3 GHz quad-core processor; 2 GB RAM; 64 GB internal storage plus 64 GB micro SD card; 3,500mAh battery; water resistant, shock resistant, dust resistant, idiot resistant; no wireless carrier needed (uses Google’s new network of low earth orbit satellites); two second negative shutter lag on the 15 megapixel camera (it anticipates when you want to take a picture and does it before you can even try and open the camera app); dimensions: 69 mm X 135 mm X 7 mm; weight: 135 g; only $49 with no contract required… unlimited data, minutes, etc. Now what I really want to see is what everyone complains about and how the phone is lacking in some way…

    • guest

delayed until 12/12/12 for marketing purposes

      • guest

why not move it up to 02/02/02 = Galaxy Nexus Two

        • Anonymous

Then we would have to go back in time and it would be the first Nexus :)

    • Anonymous

How long did it take you to type that up? Were you really that bored?

      • http://profiles.google.com/xj333t Joel McCauley

A long time… I am not fast at typing… slightly bored… it just seems like no phone is perfect, nor does one have the best of everything, there are always compromises for various reasons… I go back and forth between thinking “how lucky are you that this is what you are complaining about” and “damn, I wish they would release this phone”

You forgot that Nexus phones do not have SD card slots. Not hating in any way, just want to help make it look legit.

  • Djstar2k2

At this point I could careless just put it in my hand

  • Dominick DeVito

If people want VZW’s bloatware then let them install it themselves.

Damnit Verizon, keep your dirty hands off Android for once!
