Add December 8 to the Galaxy Nexus Launch List (Updated)

galaxy nexus december 8

I’m not even going to say anything, aside from this referencing marketing materials and could mark the start of a campaign rather than a launch date. Quite the list of dates we have going for us now though.

Update: Another December 8 launch date picture has surfaced. It goes into a little more detail on that day potentially being the official day.

Cheers ___ and Vladimir!

TB & Bionic all over again…time VZ releases GN that return policy will equal 14 days…

  • Penisaur

NO! I WILL HATE VERIZON IF THIS HAPPENS!

  • GreenEyedBandit

I know no one wants to hear this (I sure as hell didn’t) but I just left the VZ store (FL) and they just received their training or demo phones today, they were told today it will release sometime w/e 12/10.  They just started the training, they did say that it may launch earlier online but not in stores before w/e 12/10.

    • Avery Ma

I’m going to disregard your post as nothing more than a figment of my short-tempered and thoroughly self-centered imagination. One question: what does Marcellus Wallace look like?

      • GreenEyedBandit

I’m sorry but I even spoke to the store MGR of the store and she couldn’t say it was realeasing but she told me if your birthday was that week you’ld be very happy.

    • http://twitter.com/binglut9 Brian

I wouldn’t believe anything are said…they don’t know too much more

  • http://twitter.com/According2Money Chris Mendez

Didn’t the same issue happen with both the Thunderbolt, and the Droid Bionic? (Feels like) Thousands of release dates, and nothing came to fruition for weeks (Thunderbolt), even months (Droid Bionic) at a time… and yet, soon after they were announced, newer, better technology was released…
Yes, 1st ICS smartphone, excellent phone stats, tech-proof for at least 18 months… But realistically, this phone’s becoming much ado about nothing.
Here’s hoping we get the best (for now). Otherwise, this waiting game for a phone we really don’t need (except for OG owners that are due for an upgrade) should be better spent elsewhere.

  • Mps623

excel doc was sent, and recieved and was just edited, easy to see that. right hand colum sayes nothing to important, and take notice to all other listings, i*hone refresh, ipad 2 refresh, and just Samsung Galaxy Nexus? dosnt make sence. FAKE!!!

  • future gnex owner

Those descriptions are for marketing materials. Marketing mats do not always come before a phone launches, if that were true then you wouldn’t actually see the phone til after the 12-8 date. The day I walked I into the verizon store and purchased my OG there was only a dummy model on display. That was launch day. Same with the bionic I bought (and returned lol)

  • http://twitter.com/Kevniv Kevin N

The longer Verizon waits the more returns they will get from people just buying a phone to hold them over! Stupid!!

  • Gnex

this is a marketing calendar…has nothing to do with the actual launch of the product. please stop posting without checking the content first.

  • Jandrews860

Seriously DL. We are through. you’ve had me all chubbed up for the last couple of months. Waiting for the chance to fondle this sweet piece of virgin equipment. You always leave me with blueballs and feelings of sorrow, resentment and bitterness. We are done.

    • Brett Ward

sdfu, its a marketing schedule, it has NOTHING about the release of ANYTHING.

      • Guest

        you a dick bro?

  • Anonymous

This is the only tech site reporting that.

  • http://boardsandbrews.wordpress.com Enzy

Definitely a marketing campaign. The refresh for the i*hone is referring to new promotional materials to replace the old ones. OMM is updates to their online campaign.

The fact that it says Galaxy Nexus will be receiving new POP (point of purchase) would indicate to me that they already had some sort of POP prior. Legacy locations I would assume would be locations that already had the product. The term “legacy” makes me think they’ll have the Nexus before 12/8. Date = busted.

  • Stephen

    VERIZON I HATE YOU

  • Mike McCrary

I appreciate you giving us the things you find, but I have to say, this looks like an advertisement schedule and NOT a schedule of actual launches. There are way too many independent sources corroborating some type of launch next week on the 21st, whether it is an online only sale or an online pre-order.

Basically what I am saying is, don’t panic and we’ll see what happens Monday

  • http://www.facebook.com/moondrius Nolan Smith

This means nothing. See launch/end date. It could be the end date from the Black Friday ads.

  • Dave

I know this looks like a promo material schedule but maybe all these rumors will finally pull Verizon’s head out of the ground and announce SOMETHING…ridiculous.

The Razr is sweet actually. I use to hate on Moto, but its a really great phone, and you can hide and remove a certain amount of bloat on that phone.

  • Rp780

i so close to saying f it & getting a crappy razor

    • Brett Ward

sdfu, its a marketing schedule, it has NOTHING about the release of ANYTHING.

      • Guest

        you a dick bro?

  • Anonymous

This has nothing to do with the launch, just when they will start heavy promotion.  People didn’t honestly think that Verizon was just going to rip down all the RAZR marketing after it’s only been up for a couple weeks, right?

  • Anonymous

Well, looks like my ‘rental’ RAZR will be getting more work!

  • http://twitter.com/myermenson Michael Yermenson

Everyone would call/tweet VZ and tell them how they feel.  This will prolly do absolutely nothing, but its worth a shot.

  • Dempsey2284

Where on this does it say anything about Verizon? Virgin and others are supposed to sell it in December so how does this prove anything?

  • Jason Purp

    I give up

    • Brett Ward

sdfu, its a marketing schedule, it has NOTHING about the release of ANYTHING.

  • Brett Ward

yeaaaaaa, not to just repeat the same thing over, but if you look at the right most content column, its describing certain marketing items that stores receive to advertise new products, such as signs, stand-ups, and what-not. And the project names? iPad2 graphics refresh would probably be referring to new spec sheets with new pictures or something along those lines, and iPhone Window Refresh would be the same, but for window signs/blind-like materials. OMM Enhancement and Samsung Galaxy Nexus are very vague Project names, so who know’s what they entail entirely, but we can see, again, from the right most column, that advertising materials are being sent to stores.

this seems a bit more realistic, unfortunately.

screw this…going to go get the HTC tonight then.  Tired of my droid 1 rebooting while i’m sleeping or talking to someone.  If the GN happens to come out before january i’ll go exchange it.

I’m a bit perturbed by this. Got a feeling I’m going to give one of my co-workers some Irish sunglasses.

  • Anonymous

Looks more like a marketing compaign to me, considering the comments/wording regarding the other devices.

  • http://twitter.com/Kevniv Kevin N

Verizon is a bunch of ASSCLOWNS

    • Clonador35

They are always delaying their devices, but they have the best devices at the moment.

  • JMac726

Maybe this isnt a corporate store?

  • Anonymous

Pure speculation here but perhaps the 11/21 Date is the web only release date as indicated on the previous map and 12/8 marks in store availability.  The previous map was marked 11/21 w/o (w/o could mean web only or week of) the above spreadsheet is marked “stores” for this date.  I dunno I’m just trying to make sense out of Verizon’s marketing plan at this point.

  • KHCloud

Could just be the in-store date, it’s quite possible we’ll see it web only for a week or two and then see it in stores.

    • Brett Ward

      no

  • Anonymous

I wonder why the date is in red though.

    • John

      tentative ? good question

Just going to wait a little longer I guess…annoyed of course.  Unless we’re receiving a bug-free device.  Still lovin on the OGD (the best phone ever!!!!)

How about this phone makers and manufacturers; tell no one anything until a device is ready to ship! Announce it and release it the next day!

     I can’t take this anymore!!!!!

  • BobInAccounting

So Verizon uses Excel as their official launch tracking system?  If you give me a few minutes I can create a better looking “launch” spreadsheet showing a launch yesterday.

  • Fate

Seroiusly, thanx for keeping us informed with all the various rumors, dates, ect. Kellex.

  • Anonymous

By the time this phone comes out, my Razr’ll have ICS :/

  • Anonymous

    Bullshit.

  • Guest

Looks like this is just for advertising, it says nothing about the device launch….

    • Guest

Yeah you’re right the part that says “the Galaxy Nexus is scheduled to launch in all location 12/8″ has nothing to with the device launch.

  • http://twitter.com/jgalkin Jason B. Galkin

A lot of phones start with a Web-only launch (prevents store crowding and cuts out the costs of labor over the entire US market) and then shift to Web/Store combo a few weeks later.

Looks like this is just for advertising, it says nothing about the device launch….

  • Bryan Williams

    This is a marketing calendar.

  • Pfigurella

I have nothing to say that is either relevant or true.

  • shdowman

for all of you flipping out…

it’s TEN days past most rumor dates. TEN.

I think you will survive if it’s true.

    • Anonymous

If this was the first time we’d been told “a few more days” it might make it easier to take.

  • Atrain

Where’s Dominick DeVito did he fall asleep and miss this news? This is what he lives for!

    • ShootAngelsFace77x

Hahaaa… ya people hate that guy…. for obvious reasons.  He seems like the type who doesn’t get it.
