According to the title of this video, the Asus Transformer Prime “has arrived!” Today’s rumor suggested that the world’s first quad-core tablet would be available in Taiwan starting December 1, so technically, it could have arrived. All we know for sure though, is that this video had us drooling all over our pretty white desks. You get the full experience here – high quality production, a spec walk-through, and beautiful angles of this remarkable device.

I know that it may be tough to top the Galaxy Nexus video that we just posted, but this comes pretty close.

Update:  Our buddies over at Android and Me heard from Asus tonight who confirmed that the Prime should be in the states December 19 or later. I guess Gamestop was right after all.

Cheers Jacob!

And to top the night off, how about a look under the battery cover along with the boot animation of the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon? You’ll be pleased to know that the boot animation is exactly the same as the one you have seen on the GSM version of the phone. There may be two Verizon apps pre-loaded on the phone, but the rest of it appears to be a completely stock experience. Enjoy.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus Poses for the Camera Again, Couple of Verizon Apps Loaded

Needing a late night Galaxy Nexus fix? Will that pretty picture do the trick? One of our fine friends just sent over the shot above, along with a side view in hand and a look at the stock set of apps that we have included below. As we saw during a set of Google G-Nex videos earlier in the month, a couple of Verizon apps have made the cut:  My Verizon and Backup Assistant. While we would have liked for the phone to have come completely clean, these two are somewhat acceptable as our readers seem to have made it clear that they do utilize them from time to time.

Asus Spokesperson: Transformer Prime Headed to Taiwan December 1, U.S. December 8

by: | posted 11.30.11 | News

According to an Asus spokesperson that chatted up NetbookNews, the Transformer Prime will land on U.S. soil December 8. It will get an earlier release in Taiwan on December 1, but after that, it’s all ours baby. That means the world’s first quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 tablet will be here next week, hopefully alongside another device that once donned the name “Prime.” And yeah, we told you Gamestop was confused.

Wednesday Poll: Is an Android Tablet Still a Part of Your Future?

by: | posted 11.30.11 | Polls

It has been about a year since we saw the first major player in the Android game, the original Samsung Galaxy Tab. That particular slate kicked off the release of the Froyo tablet era followed by the barrage of Honeycomb entries in mid-2011. The world was supposed to gobble up Android tablets by the millions, overtaking the iPad on the way. Well, we all know now that that did not happen. After reading sad story after sad story of Honeycomb tablet disappointments, we are wondering now what the future of the Android tablet game looks like. Ice Cream Sandwich could breathe new life into a platform that struggled throughout much of 2011, but we won’t know until it finally arrives.

Are you still interested in them? Did you go with an iPad instead? Have you ruled out the purchase of one altogether? Will the next batch powered by quad-core processors entice you? Be sure to weigh in through the poll and with your thoughts in the comments.

Official Verizon Galaxy Nexus Press Shots Revealed

by: | posted 11.30.11 | News

What, did you think we were trying to forget about the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon? We have definitely seen the Twitter war going on after last night’s vague tweet from @VZWsupport, but are trying to ignore it. To help make your day brighter though, how would you like to see the official press or website photos of the phone, straight from a VZW .xml file?

The backing of the phone matches up exactly to the photo that one of our sources sent us earlier in the week. It says “Verizon” and “4G LTE” instead of “Google” which yes, is crazy odd. The color scheme could be slightly darker than the GSM version, but it still looks hot.

Three more pictures after the break.
