The 64 GB will come with 32 GB out of the box, with the extra 32 GB to be installed via mail-in upgrade process at a later date.

I think Motorola might iterate some of it’s devices a little too fast. There’s really no reason to release the XOOM2, there’s no substantial difference between it and the original XOOM.

Who wants to bet the microSD slot is gone? I had a feeling that Google never meant for Moto to include it in the original XOOM.

ICS itself may only take advantage of 2 cores, but they’re already developing games and applications to use 4 cores. Not pointless at all. Especially while I’ve got a Xoom with 2 cores in it already. Why should I invest in another device when it’s not really an upgrade at all?

Why? ICS only takes advantage of dual core processors. So with your quad core cpu 2 of the 4 cores will be sitting idle. I don’t understand why OEMs do this and why people fall for it. It’s clearly working though, just like dual core phones running 2.3…….. pointless

More Apple-like B.S. from Moto, apparently. Seeing the 64GB version available is a 99.9% guarantee that they will jettison SD card support for their new tablets. Non-removable batteries across the board and I am sure that expandable storage in phones will be the next thing to go.

I am glad we have Asus and co. to show Moto, Google. and Apple “how it’s done”!

That said, I would be very interested in seeing a smaller (7″ or 8″) wi-fi Media Edition Xoom2 as long as it runs stock ICS.
