An absolute waste. Tried installing but it just hangs and resets the boot animation non stop. Had to use nandroid to restore my previous stock 2.2.2 system. ANyone know exactly what i did wrong? What is it that i need to correctly install this step by step?

Never thought of that. This build has been the best yet so far for me. Good enough to keep. Not as good as PE 4.2 but good enough. Going to my home screen is still a little sluggish and sometime takes it a couple seconds to draw all the apps and the one widget I have.

I have a question about something odd that happened after I installed the new BB ROM. All my apps installed themselves from the market, just like normal, but the Droid-Life app didn’t. I did a search in the market for it and could not find it. So I went to DL in the browser and used the market link to try to get it, and the page for the app comes up with a yellow band across the top. Inside the band is a triangle with an exclamation point and “This item is not available” I checked to make sure that I had show all apps checked in the market content filtering, as well as making sure Unknown sources was checked in the applications settings. I have never seen this before and I was wondering if someone could give me some help so I can have the DL app on my OG again.

i went back to my backup of GPA17. when i booted and signed in, it wouldn’t reinstall my apps from the market. it happened to me w/ 16 too and i dealt with it, but i’m not this time. it’s not worth it. can’t wait for the nexus.

yeah, i can’t stand it. i’ve considered going back to froyo. i’d like to not miss every call i get and have to call ppl back, or have my ringtone play for the entire 30 sec and not be able to silence it. it’s embarrassing.

Thank you! I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve tried multiple renditions of MIUI and hated each one more than the previous one. I just don’t get the love for it. It makes your phone look like an iPhone AND slows it down to the point that it’s nearly unusable. I’d rather run stock Eclair on my D1 than run MIUI.

I love Pete for what he’s done for the community over past nearly two years. With that said, as long as Project Elite makes a ROM for the D1 it’s the only one worth considering. It gives you the “buglessness” of Pete’s ROMs but with many of the extra bells and whistles others offer.
