Introducing BIG Launcher – Developed For Visually Impaired And Elderly Android Lovers

The BIG Launcher Team has brought a new launcher to the scene suited for visually impaired users and the elderly. Big shiny buttons and super easy to read text – just what the doctor ordered. The launcher could also be good for younger kids, or even someone who wants a super simplified UI. It’s a win-win scenario either way you look at it.

LightSquared Signs CareConnect to senior citizens…lol what a joke that must be

They’re charging people because they have a difficult time reading their phone? :-p   I think they should make money for it, however, maybe they can make the barebones launched free and charge for skins like Go Launcher does.  It really could use some snazzier skins.

I think the barebones look/UI is what the devs are trying to achieve…..putting themes on it would just complicate things for the targeted user base they seem to be gearing this towards

I didn’t think of it that way.  A friend of mine from college has impaired vision and it just occurred to me how his computer was arranged to accommodate that.  I take it back. At least someone’s thinking about it so more people can enjoy technology.

Is that the new Win mobile UI?

  • JP

    Very WP7-ish, huh?

  • jose cardona

I understand they tried to make it easier to read, but did they have to make it so damn ugly? But I guess if you’re half-blind to begin with, you won’t be able to tell!

my best friend’s mom makes $78 an hour on the computer. She has been out of job for 9 months but last month her check was $7587 just working on the computer for a few hours. Read about it here HardRich.com
