After Going Crazy Robot Battles, DROID Bionic Campaign Returns to its Roots

The first couple of DROID Bionic spots came out were pretty intense. Robot battles, heads blown off, an arena that looked straight out of Mad Max, and some lovely lady that could be Natalie Portman’s twin. In this new spot though, it almost brings back some memories of that first OG campaign with the DROID voice, the smooth talkin’ DROID guy in the background, and a feature getting the spotlight to help sell the phone. Refreshing.

How has no one picked up on the fact that the last commercial claims the Bionic is 0.4 inches wide. For those of you keeping score, that’s less than a half inch. Is it the new slim Bionic? Nice one Verizon.

Was it me or did the Bionic kind of morphed into a smaller handset about 20 seconds into the first vidio, if that’s thats the case they should’ve left that funtion to the “Prime”…..I’m due for an upgrade but I’m holding out to see what the Prime has to offer…

With the zumocast software that comes on the phone. You have to download client software on your PC and set up a login… Once you do that, you can access pre-designated shared folders/media from your phone. It works pretty good.

Pushin the Zumocast pretty hard.. It is actually pretty nice software for free.. I had a problem with it not playing my MP3s at first, but it seems to have fixed itself.. it is a awesome selling point for the phone.

Um no dude. You can be at your office and using LTE you can access ANYTHING on your computer. Understand what zumocast is before you judge it.

Yeah, I guess I needed to be on the same wifi network so being able to do that over the mobile network would be an improvement.

Yup basically say your on a train ride from work to home and you want to watch an episode of a show you recorded on your computer at home. over LTE you can do this and watch said episode on your phone. But i hope anyone doing this has unlimited data, LOL

I’ve still been doing this for a couple years, it’s called FTP. Over 3G it’s slow, yes and LTE would make it slick but it’s not really a novel concept just more polished for the everyday user.

Actually it is more novel than you think. FTP gives you a direct line to single computer. If that computer changes locations your FTP settings all change. Zumocast acts like a bridge to give you access to your computer whether it is at home or at work. …and you don’t need to know anything other than your login so no one gets scared by IP addresses and server names. People don’t get FTP. People easily get this app.
