New Wireless Beats by Dre Headphones for Mobile Devices Land at the FCC

Just after HTC announced a new partnership with Beats by Dre, we started to wonder if there would be changes to the headphones that they produce since well, the current versions are not made to work properly with Android devices (at least to receive calls anyway).  According to a new FCC filing, a revamped and wireless version that can pair via Bluetooth is on the way, which we are assuming means it has been tweaked to allow for more than just iPhone calling.

One of the first HTC devices that is rumored to be receiving Beats support is the Vigor, a phone that we have the first pictures of here.  We were told to expect the first devices with Beats some time in the “Fall”, so I would say that October 6 is still in play thanks to this FCC filing.

Wireless Beats for your Vigor?  Yes, please.  Unless of course it gets earbuds and not the ones pictured above.

then Lebron James beats these headphones are ideal for you.Monster Beats by Dr. Dre will make you require Spider-Man Studio to listen to even more music. You may be thinking that when a site sells them for cheap that something is wrong with them. That is not true. Nothing is wrong with these white beats by dr. dre solo hd  headphones.

  • W Aguirre877

Wowww im in love with this wireless headphonesss <3 they are expensive but that is a good thing because too little people will have them ;)

  • Drebeats

Ive had my Beat Studio for about 2 months after they came out ans they are already going out and i do not blast them…Go with a different brand and not Dre…They are not that great..its has probably been a year now and i hear static.. but those Gummy ear buds are fantastic for a quick use.

the vigor will definitely have normal earbuds, and not these. Also, there are a lot of headphone brands that have better audio quality than beats.

    I really dig that.
But they are pretty bulky. Hmmmm

Time to “accidently” break my beats and exchange them for new ones :-)

I saw this on the news lately and I believe one of the most fashionable headphones I ever imagine because of its coll features definitely serve as a good detail in every outfit I am into like Sony 7506 headphones which highlights my passion to music.

  • Csalzman

Those are some fruity looking headphones.

I don’t know why everyone is hating on the Beats so much, They sound amazing.. and yeah they are a bit more but the sound quality is worth it.

  • MOTOX

Love my beats or bose :). At 300 bucks on contract, these wouldn’t be a bad combo… :)

So many people hate of this headphones cuz they cant afford them lol i have the pro editions 400 bucks.. they sound amazing!! stop f*cking hatting be happy that htc is giving this with the cell phones

    • jimbob

You’d shit your pants if you heard what a good set of cans sounds like.

*Looks at my Grado SR225is and my Ultrasone PRO 900s*

    Nah, I think I’ll pass.

Kellex, for the record… I’d much rather you say iphone on this blog than beats.  ;)

That should put things in perspective.

If Justin Beiber is endorsing your next purchase, you may need to re-evaluate a few aspects of your life.

  • Guttatae22

I can’t wait somethin new from HTC and a hot new phone coming out I’m excited about the next few months

  • Anonymous

..woohooo.,.I just got a $829.99 iPad2 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HDTV for only $251.92, they are both coming with USPS tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use CentHub.cōm

  • Carlito Pr787

    Sennheisers ftw

  • Str8RippinEm

Will these only be compatible with HTC, or will it work with any Android device?

  • Anonymous

Never much understood the interest in wireless headsets. Isn’t it enough to have to worry about your wireless phone battery dying and then charging it up again?

  • Blood

It seems that me and Kellex are the only ones excited over Beats headphones. :(

    • babadush

      Everyone is so negative.

    • babadush

      Everyone is so negative.

    • LionStone

Naw, I’m with you guys…listening to my Dre Beats Studio now on my flight back from the East coast. I have Sennheisers and a pair a Shure buds, but I like these because I have good sound quality with noise cancellation and comfort. I can wear my Beats for 4 hrs + which is more than I can say for my Shures. Oh yea, Chemical Brothers on Pandora sounds goood.

    • 1loudls

its not that no one is excited over the Beats deal, its just that so far,  all Beats products are just not that good of a buy, there headphones are much bigger and bulkier than their competition, cost more than their competition, and dont quite sound as good as you should expect from any phones(head) that cost that much coin.

  • chris partlow

..looks like everyone is real psyched about the HTC/Dr Dre collaboration!

    Great marketing, HTC!

  • http://www.facebook.com/michael.suriel Michael Suriel

i can care less about these. i just want an app that will let my beats work with android. And to everybody else trolling on the beats i think they are great heaphones but just $50-$100 dollars overpriced. sound quality is great on these babies :).

    • Gcforreal

I agree I think ppl bash the beats sound quality because they are admittedly overpriced because of the name…but saying they are absolute trash and the typical Motorola Bluetooth headsets are comparable is far from the truth not audiophile quality but they do great for bass heavy music still can’t justify the price but it would be a sweet bonus if they were included with the phone with no additional cost

      people are speaking the truth.

you are paying almost twice as much for an inferior product.

$300-500 for beats versus $150-300 for something that sennheiser, audio technica, or grado puts out.

Beats, Bose, and Bang and Olufsen are a joke in the audiophile world.  Incredible marketing, which you’ve fallen victim to…and a decent product.  But, ridiculously overpriced.  So, if you want the “look”/”lifestyle” then get them.  I’ll stick to caring about sound.

  • PyroHoltz

I’ll pass, my Moto S305′s for $30 work really well.

  • SpikedRed

What I’d really like is some software that works with current products for Android phones that allow you to call, pause songs, and skip or go back to music tracks for wired in-ear headphones, that already have the functions in the earbuds themselves.  Just pay the damn licensing fee to Apple already and get it over with…seriously, this is probably one of the ONLY things that you can’t do right now with Android headsets, which is the reason why HTC bought into “Beats by Dre” to begin with.  Unfortunately as you can see, people already think the wireless products (big freakin’ deal, Sony makes the S10 HD’s, and they work just fine, are lighter, and less expensive that what these will be) that are coming out, are crap…

  • Anonymous

Kel, you seem cool and all but your love for beats is a bit concerning…..

    • Anonymous

I’d say it’s al over for two major tech companies combining to give us something better than we already have.  Beats may not be the greatest sounding headphones on the planet, but they sound a hell of a lot better than those crappy earbuds that companies like Samsung throw in the box.

HTC has also said that phone prices should not increase with this partnership, so you are essentially getting an upgrade in headphones for free.

      • Anonymous

I know, just messing with you man :p

      • Mctypething

Yeah, but the earbuds are a lot less cumbersome than having huge bricks on your ears. I agree you sacrifice sound quality, but regaular use out of these huge headphones isn’t practical.

        • http://www.facebook.com/michaeljmcgrath Michael McGrath

i use over the ear cans pretty much wherever i am, besides the gym…not quite sure what you’re talking about.

      • kretz

there’s no way htc will throw in $300 headphones for free..

      • http://www.facebook.com/michaeljmcgrath Michael McGrath

i mean, if htc makes a baller top tier phone for $300ish still, and these come with it?  cool.

but, they’re immediately going on ebay.

      • Adam Elghor

        totally what im thinkin

  • http://thisisjohncoffey.com GRAND MASTER SEN$Ei {{-_-}}™

    I bet these are overpriced with garbage quality also. But they’ll still sell anyway because young kids are gullible enough to pay $350 for a NAME. {{-_-}}

  • http://twitter.com/NemaCystX NemaCystX

These are the headphones that are rumored to be coming with the Sensation Special Edition and Runnymede.

The ones coming with Vigor, as BMX said on twitter, “expect the dual core beast to come with earbuds, while the mid range will come with headphones”

    • Anonymous

Oh I know, was just living in the moment.  Let me tweak that a bit. :P

  • Rp780

These headphones are over priced and sound horrible

    • Enzofun1

why do they sound so horrible if they suboste to sound so beatiful i havent got them yet but for maybe christmas for a little treat for me why do they sound horrible

      • Comets_9

lol ont listen to him they dont sound bad , they are the most amazing sounding headphones ever i own a pair and i bring them everywhere dont listen to them they are just hating on the headphones simply because they cant afford them , theyre great , trust me :)

  • Anonymous

    Pass

    • Anonymous

Definitely a pass. The sound quality will be garbage as usual.

      • Anonymous

OKAY… now tell me a “great sound quality” pair of earbuds for the same price as Beats?

        • Anonymous

M-AUDIO IE-10 sound much better than beats or how about Shure SE215-CL or another like Ultimate Ears 600vi. All three of these out perform Beats by far. And thats for the $100 range.

        • http://www.facebook.com/michaeljmcgrath Michael McGrath

how about better sounding for half the price?

          http://www.sennheiserusa.com/earbuds-ear-headphones-noise-cancelling

        • Anonymous

Sennheiser ie8s are better and can be found for that price.

        • 1loudls

          B&W

  • Trooper

    Yawn

  • Zebra

If it doesn’t raise the price of the phone, great, but I see this raising the cost of the phone. Beats are way overpriced as it is.

  • Mctypething

I need ugly, bulky headphones to pair with my phone like I need a locked bootloader….

    • http://www.youtube.com/MKBHD Marques Brownlee

So HTC just killed 2 birds with one stone?

      • Adam Elghor

they said they arnt goin to lock any bootloaders in the future…..and if a phone came with those headphones for free then sign me up and use a little thing called ebay

but more than likely they will just ship with crappy headphones like the a*ple ones
