I want this phone badly too, but until there’s legit proof that the model number matches the Prime and not the Illusion, I’m not getting my hopes up.

I disagree – those Droid commercials worked, they’re much of the reason for the success of Droids. I LIKE sci-fi, I LIKE hi-tech, I LIKE leading-edge technology. If you want touchy-feely, buy an iPhone. Preferably pink.

4.65″. ? Shit thats big. My Nexus S is big enough, just right for sliping in and out of my front pants pocket. I’ll check this out when it comes but by the time you put a case on it will it still be comfortable to walk around with it in your jean’s ? ,i hope so because it sounds sweet.

ok all. I have read just about everything on the droid bionic. But I keep hearing about the droid prime. I have had an LG NV original for over 6 years now and would like to get a smartphone. But I am getting freaking confused. Do I go for the Droid Bionic or wait another month or so for the Prime. Please tell me what is so special about waiting for the prim.

I’m going to laugh my ass off if the Bionic is the best Android phone releases this year and the Nexus goes to Sprint and/or T-Mobile instead. Better yet, the Samsung Droid Prime is a 3G phone.

Thanks for clearing that up. It’s sad that Moto’s screens have gone from great (OG Droid) to bad so quickly. Wonder what accounts for that?

pentile is the technology declaring how the pixels and subpixels are laid out on a screen. Samsung’s Super AMOLED screens (e.g. Galaxy S) are based on pentile tech (its the Super AMOLED Plus that aren’t). However, not all pentile screens are bad, its just motorola’s bad screens that have given pentile a bad rep.

Rumor is that the first HD SAMOLED screens will be Pentile and Samsung’s next improvement will be RBG HD SAMOLED screens.

Who knows if the that’s true, and even if they are Pentile who knows if they will look good or bad. My guess is though that any screen coming from Samsung will be top of the line.

Ok im sorry if someone already said this but the difference between a droid prime and a nexus prime would be verizon could bloat the droid prime up with apps and verizons logo on the device and a nexus prime would be pure android no bloat or carrier branding what so ever. its sorta like the experia play it was stock android like a nexus but all bloated up.

same here…I just got to mess around with it at a local verizon, the thing is very very sharp looking…smooth as hell too…I’d like to wait around to see whats coming out but I don’t have the patience anymore…if those phones are really worth getting, just ebay the bionic
