Unofficial DROID Prime Boot Animation Brings Us Back to our Childhood

After seeing the DROID Prime logo that one of our readers had created, carlz28 from RootzWiki decided to tweak it slightly and then start working on turning it into a boot animation.  It’s pretty much the coolest thing we have seen in a while.  It is not available for anyone to flash to their phones at this time, but we are sure it will be shortly.

Click here to view it. (best viewed on a computer)

Cheers Pish Posh!

That’s the coolest friggin thing I’ve seen all week lol

  • that is SICK!

  • Joelseph

This is awesome, but why did the two eyes that came out of the droid logo drop and then disappear?  What’s the point of that?  Would be cool if they slowly grew like they were getting closer until they were in the same position at the eyes of the droid that shows up in the end.

Like I said though, this is definitely very awesome and I would love to have this as a boot animation to make me less irritated when my phone locks up and has to be rebooted.  : )

  • I want this as my Boot animation on my thunderbolt!!! COME ON PEOPLE!!!! LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!.

  • My wife and i were so glad that Peter could deal with his basic research while using the ideas he discovered from your web pages. It is now and again perplexing just to choose to be giving for free tips and tricks which usually many others could have been selling. And we also figure out we have the writer to thank for this. The most important explanations you’ve made, the straightforward site navigation, the friendships your site help promote – it’s got most remarkable, and it’s helping our son and us believe that the topic is amusing, and that’s tremendously vital. Thank you for the whole lot!

  • I and my guys were found to be looking at the good items located on the website then all of a sudden I had a horrible feeling I had not thanked the site owner for those techniques. All the men had been absolutely glad to study all of them and have actually been having fun with these things. Thank you for really being indeed thoughtful as well as for picking out some good themes most people are really needing to understand about. My very own sincere regret for not expressing appreciation to you earlier.

4.7″ screen edge to edge of phone(no border, nothing but screen) w/ pioneer elite quality. full slide out keyboard. magico speakers for best stereo sound listening. first quad core phone w/ 2 gig sd memory and 32gig storage. 4g lte, HDMI out and hd DLNA, built in laser pointer an IR(so I can change the chanels on any TV or voice command my phone to change the chanels). Finally a free round trip vacation to Vegas so I can bragg to everyone on Google plus how this phone can almost literally kick any other phones ass if a leg was attached to it while I’m beating up that stripers “pootang pie” all thanks to the nexus prime. Lets go nexus make me die a happy man 😉

How about a live wallpaper. Be cool if you keep the smoke coming out the pipes.  Touch his head and he says, “One shall stand, one shall fall.”

  • Anonymous

    That was damn sexy

  • Barbacoa

    Hello licences infringement 🙂

  • Nice animation, but still hoping this is a Nexus phone and not a DROID.

  • Csmothe1

i think a cool ad campaign for the prime would be to actually play on transformers. Have a commercial that shows optimus in truck form and the camera panning around slowly. while panning a few things are said to buildup then the truck transforms into the phone. at the end they could show the phone with a blank screen and words flash on the screen saying “droid prime, more than meets the” then on the phone it could show the boot eye (whatever that happens to be). just food for thought…

  • Oh god, it’s so funny, I wish I had this on my OG Droid

  • Havoc

    Now thats cool

  • Freakin sweet!

  • viewthis66

that was slick hahaha right on…

    wow pretty awesome

  • Anonymous

Droid trademark+Transformer trademarks=most expensive boot animation eva. Haha

Pretty slick though. I want for my og.

  • Anonymous

At the end it should say “Apple must be stopped no matter the cost” then maybe some movie theme music. 😛

  • James_Ever

Its cool, I just wish they stuck with the blue more especially the eyes, Optimus was not a Decepticon, better off calling it the Nexus Decepticon instead of the Nexus Prime. Still its good work.

  • Davros

Awesome. You must be High on Charlie Sheen. Waiting to flash 🙂

  • fing awesome!!! i have played it at least 20 times now lol XD

  • Rizzidy

    too much

  • Ray

really cool just dont think they would use it too geeky for the average person like the star wars phone that was such a big hit!

  • Blaudy Rodriguez

freaking awesome ! I want that on my (still rocking) OG Droid NOW !

  • Anonymous

    So full of epicness.

  • Thats so freakin cool! Hope i can rock this boot animation on my OG soon!

  • Dominick DeVito

  • chad917

That should be the rooted boot animation for all roms

  • Anonymous

BY FAR THE COOLEST BOOT ANIMATION YET!!
    I WANT!

  • Droid 3 please!

  • thesaber2000

this just made my day! gotta have thiss on the og! keep us posted when we can flash this!

  • Anonymous

    Claps for whoever made this

  • Kidheated

Another sick boot animation would be the logos for “droid” and “nexus” morphing to the autobot sounds. So basically, it goes… “DROID” (autobot sounds plus cool transforming animation that rearranges the word droid into prime) “PRIME.” Minor tweaks aside that’s the basic idea.

  • Anonymous

    Radical!

  • It’s not going to be the Droid Prime, kellex. Just give it up.

  • Anonymous

I’m so excited for this phone!!

  • Cool now if I can get my Xperia Play rooted I’d love to make that my bootanim.

  • JT

I must confess that I don’t get the point of this.

  • Anonymous

omfg..i must flash this on my DX

    • Anonymous

Why do people always use the word “flash” wrong? The term “flash” comes from the old days of updating BIOS chips in computers. Before EEPROMS they would literally use a “flash” of UV light to erase the data on the chip before programming it.

The only thing we do with our phones that is considered flashing is doing an .sbf restore.

      • Cool story bro.

      • Anonymous

seriously? a lot of words we use now came from words with an even older era than that. did you just take a programming class at your community college?

        • Anonymous

Really!?!?!?!? Let’s all just go around using the wrong word for things then. Who cares. Blah Blah blah.

Sorry, just trying to counteract the Idiocracy effect.

          • Anonymous

You think the fact that words evolve is an “Idiocracy effect?”

          • jason6g

flash hasn’t evolved like some others. gay for example – meant happy, then homosexual, now it moreso means worthless – “dude you’re so gay you cant even finish your french fries”

i agree that flash is more of a bios behind the scenes type word. you can flash a new bios on your laptop, but you copy a new bootloader or you install a new rom

instead of flash in the post, instal is a much more accurate word – however for the egotistical out there flash seems to sound cooler and more complex than simply copying a few files.

i also like how you continue to argue with his post and put him down – because that leads to something positive.

          • this post is so gay i couldn’t even finish it

          • nicotinic

When you go into a background ui(recovery) to “permanently” update your phone’s manufacturer settings that’s kinda behind the scenes. Wouldn’t you agree?
I put the Baroness (see my avatar) on my computer’s Bios boot screen through a windows application. How is this so different? Oh I know it’s a separate chip but come on. You’re altering the firmware and you can’t simply copy these files to a folder on the phone and be done.

It’s flashing as it is commonly referred to in phone tech today.

The op regarding this argument went back to UV flashing… Really? In that case Bios flashing isn’t really flashing either by his definition.

          • KevParlee

Yeah, I would say i flashed a new rom on my phone. The “street” meaning to me is that i wiped it beyond recovery and make a new install. Like i flash the computer chip in my car. It’s very widely accepted and has adopted this new meaning.
Another example is.. I buy a 1/2 barrel keg at a liquor store and people still call it a Keg. a real keg can only be bought commercially in my town. but all of my friends call it a keg because it just makes common sense

TL/DR = Get over it… black people make up words all the time.. go bother them

When I take a picture with my phone, and those little LEDs instantaneously light up… Oh, nevermind. 😛

    • F350bear

      I second that!

  • Jason Purp

God, bro. You gotta cool it with that damn Android Transformer. lol

  • I WANT!

  • Anonymous

    Transformer nerds.

  • Spike

I wonder if we could get one with the Nexus! Prime.

  • ChuckDz3

Unbelievable what the droid community can do. That was awesome

  • Anonymous

I’m in love. Someone needs to figure out how to get this onto the OG with sound.

  • thats freaking sweet.  thumbs up to creator!

  • Marc

    Freaking RAD!!

all ic an say is its a samsung, and good luck with the updates with that

        • Chongofoto

Lol its a nexus you jack wagon, Samsung makes some of the best hardware on the market, GOOGLE will handle the updates. Only thing to worry about is GPS since that’s hardware related.

          • Anonymous

when you resort to name calling, your argument proves futile…thanks for wasting my time

        • We will have good luck with the updates. Have fun being three Android updates behind the rest of us.

          • Anonymous

not saying you wont get them…saying they’ll break funcionality of the phone…as i said…good luck

          • Anonymous

i’ll take a wait and see approach…dont want to hear you whining later on taht the emergency call button doesnt work, or that your gps wont lock on, or any of the other things the updates broke on the fascinate…id have to say i told ya so…

          • You’re seriously comparing a fascinate to a nexus phone?  ya, I feel bad for you for having that phone, but the point behind the nexus is that it is google handling software/os and samsung handling the hardware.  It is not like the fascinate which they(samsung) handled software/os/hardware.

so let me ask you this…take a corvette engine and put it in a chevy cavalier…does that make the cavalier a great car?

  • Zebug

Love it, and the smoke at the end is a nice touch.
