I have to admit at this point that it really does seem to me as though, based upon the experience of all my friends anyway, that apple products really do ‘just work’. My friends with apple devices never ever complain about glitches or any of the other little things my android devices do. And they really do seem to have all the coolest apps. I gave Droid a shot, but I have to honestly say that when m contract is up I may very well give apple a go.

Bit of a difference in this case…they promised me 4g. Where the hell is it? Maybe I’ll drop by a store and see if I can trade in for a new 4g xoom..

Yes but this is a bit different…if they charged that much AND gave them 4G and sd card slot then you’re right…but early adopters for the Xoom got shafted!

I noticed that too. I’d originally guessed the Prime to come out in November for the holidays, but given this news, early October makes more sense.

Doubtful. I don’t think you can get a high-end keyboarded phone on Verizon unless it is made by Motorola – pretty sure they’re protecting their Droid/Droid2/Droid3/… line. The EnV Pro, the Merge, the Stratosphere (MIA in this MAP)… Verizon doesn’t seem to want to give us physical keyboards if they aren’t made by Moto.

Also, zepfloyd seems to have some good contacts, and he’s said that this will be the Bliss.

Welcome to early adopters’ buyers remorse. It’s no different than any other piece of tech that is quickly replaced with a bigger, better model only a short time after you bought yours. I’m sure it’s happened to all of us here at one point or another.

I noticed that too. Disappointing – I was looking forward to a 4G slider, even if the specs were lackluster. And although the Epic keyboard isn’t the absolute best out there, it isn’t bad either; I’d have assumed this one to be very similar.

Might see a keyboard on it if you’re lucky, but I don’t think you’ll be seeing LTE on it – look at the model number, all HTC LTE phones have used the ADR****LVW format; this one uses the 3G format of ADR****VW (no “L”).

Personally, I wonder what happened to the Samsung LTE slider that was rumored to launch the same day as the Bionic; I’d have thought it be on this MAP if it was still coming out in a week. It could have used some better specs (seemed to be a rehash of last year’s Sprint Epic), but at least it would have been a 4G slider for those of us looking for one. Probably $hit-canned like the GS2 and a number of other Android sliders before it.
