I have a question. First off, I have Android 2.2.2 and have never done anything to my droid that wasn’t official and I’m not rooted either. I would like to upgrade but I’m worried that I’m going to kill my phone. Can anybody tell me how to install these new GPA’s.

Had the Droid since it first came out with a couple of replacements throughout the years and from BB to GPA 17 these ROMs always been good choices for the OG. Thanks to Pete.

Hi all, have you had any problem with your MOtonav GPS after install this new ROM? I’ve heard that whether install any new adroid version and if you have Motonav already installed it’s necessary to reset the phone! Sombody has faced this any way?

When I try to install I get the following:

E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted

Can anyone help?

Finally decided to root my OG Droid, since it’s out of warranty anyway. Did that and then installed this.
Let me just say, that even though I’m a noob at this, this ROM is awesome!

Wow! Super update – thanks! I too was having trouble with the 2.3.4 ROM (slow response, heavy battery usage, etc.) but this version is sweet! Battery usage is excellent, I’m running @ 1000 MHz / 800 MHz (flawlessly and no overheating) and the responsiveness is back!

Thanks again for giving extended life to my OG Droid. I love it! Its still a beast spec-wise … now if only it had more memory and a true 1GHz processor!

Anyone know what build number GPA17 is? wasn’t GPA16 GRI54?

I’m pretty sure that has to do with having Go Contacts installed. I was running GPA16 and didn’t have that problem until I installed Go Contacts.

My OG seems to have a hard time keeping data with gpa17, never had this issue with gpa 16.

battery pull.

its happened to me before, but after i reset or battery pull the speaker starts to work again

I need help!!! Every sense I loaded this ROM onto my device imy speaker doesn’t work while making or receiving phone calls. Not even when I switch it to speaker phone. The person on the other end can’t even hear me. What should I do to fix this problem?
