Too bad this isn’t using Qualcomm’s new 28nm SoC, then this would be really worth it. The older 48nm OC’d to 1.5GHz (the same processor as the EVO 3D) along with LTE is going to kill the battery life on this phone. Everyone else has already moved on the A9 processors, catch up HTC!!

Why would VZ release any phone around the holidays that isn’t 4G? Seriously, how much longer do you think they can keep releasing high spec phones that don’t have 4G? Use some common sense.

VZW needs LTE phones to get their customers to burn through those data caps and fork over overage charges.

The days of high end phones like the HD being 3G are over (as evident buy their pass on the SGII).

If it wasn’t for Sense I’d give this a serious look. But I’m now holding out for a Prime. If VZW doesn’t get that – then the HD is probably my next purchase in early ’12.

Since this is the successor, it should more than likely be 4G. However, lots of folks are riding on the Droid HD being 4G, but I don’t think that that phone will be 4G.
