I bought the iconia tab w the $100 promo from staples. I hesitated because of the acer name but i gotta say, so far so good...great, actually. Much to my gf's displeasure, i can'tput it down. For $300, its got all the bells and whistles as the more expensive ones and it was so easy to root! This is what got me to then FINALLY root my og droid because i wanted to wifi tether. Rooting the phone was easy enough but after spending hours trying the bluetooth method, i came across an app called barnacle. Worked on the first try! (Og droid uses ad-hoc...an old method). I just thought i'd throw the stuff in about the wifi tether in case it helps someone else reading this. But back to the iconia, yah im happy with it. I havent tried the hdmi out yet but glad i have it. I havent used the flash on the camera but glad i have it...surprisingly, the asus doesn't ...wtf?

Had this. Took it back. Got a SGT 10.1. The TT was too heavy and thick for me and the software was just not there yet. SGT seems to be more focused on the user experience (MHO) and I've enjoyed my SGT w/ $100 off at Staples. For everything that both the TT and SGT have, the SGT did it better. Of course the SGT is missing all of those nice ports though. I'm learning to live without them.

Why doesn't the Asus Transformer get a mention? It's had the best sales of any honeycomb tablet because it combines good quality at a very reasonable price. So it must be the go-to table for a lot of people.
