Android Market Adds Graph of App Install Trends, Boy Has It Grown Into Something Special

We may earn a commission when you click links to retailers and purchase goods. More info.

The Android Market has come so far in such a short amount of time; it’s really pretty remarkable.  We now have a web-based version that includes featured apps, charts to help you find others, compatibility lists, a full-on ratings scale, and app pages with more details than we can even process.  It seems like just yesterday that we were getting giddy about the first on-device overhaul with it’s featured wheel of apps and the idea of a web version.

So today’s addition, which is a graph that shows trends for the last 30 days of apps is not necessarily groundbreaking, but it definitely shows how powerful of a resource the market has become.  In fact, I find myself using the browser-based market far more than the one on my phones or tablets for the simple reason that it gives me more info all in one place.  Well, and because remote app installing might be the invention of the year – it definitely doesn’t receive enough love.

Thoughts on how far we’ve come in the last 6-8 months?
