Motorola Partners With Spotify in the U.S., Plans to Hand Out 10,000 Invites

Spotify launched in the U.S. this morning and they’ve decided to partner exclusively with Motorola to hand out 10,000 invites.  The service is essentially a closed beta right now, so this is your chance to sign up and get in the program early before the generally public.  Moto appears to be only asking that you fill out a simple form for now – how they are choosing these 10K though, is beyond me.  (Update:  It looks like it’s the FIRST 10K to sign up. Go, go, go!)

That’s funny, I signed up one minute after @MotorolaMobility tweeted their message, it said I got in, but I never received the invite.

Invites should be emailed by the 18th, when the contest closes.

I want to express thanks to the writer just for bailing me out of such a challenge. Because of researching throughout the search engines and finding proposals that were not beneficial, I was thinking my life was gone. Being alive without the strategies to the difficulties you have sorted out as a result of your entire website is a crucial case, as well as ones which might have in a negative way affected my career if I hadn’t come across your blog. Your primary ability and kindness in taking care of every aspect was excellent. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I hadn’t come upon such a stuff like this. I can also now look ahead to my future. Thanks so much for your impressive and results-oriented guide. I won’t be reluctant to endorse your site to anybody who ought to have guide about this topic.

I intended to compose you one bit of word in order to thank you once again for those striking solutions you’ve contributed on this page. It has been so open-handed of you giving freely exactly what a number of people might have advertised for an electronic book to make some cash for themselves, and in particular considering the fact that you might have done it in the event you considered necessary. The pointers also acted to become a good way to be sure that most people have a similar passion much like my own to grasp somewhat more when it comes to this condition. I believe there are thousands of more enjoyable instances up front for individuals that check out your site.

Signed up, made sure to note I have a Motorola Droid 3, which I am absolutely loving, sure 4G LTE would be  nice, but battery life is more crucial to me and 2nd gen LTE chips next year will be better.

Is the free plan really free? Or is it just a teaser and they will start charging a monthly fee after a few months?

I’ve been pretty happy with the free streaming music plan from Slacker.

  • Booboolala2000

Sweet. Got mine. Between this and Google music. Dontbknow what I will do. Rock on music lovers.

I would primarily use this on my phone and I’m so used to NOT paying for music….pass…for now

  • Amiel

I got in, but without the Premium feature ($10 a month), I can’t stream to my phone, rendering Spotify down to just a clunkier version of iTunes :(

LOL I like how Moto will email it to you “as soon as it becomes available”.  OR you could use the magic invite machine that is Google, search the last 24 hours for “spotify invite thread” and find invite codes for all your friends, like I did.
