as much as I love scrabble, I almost can’t play this app due to the plethora of ads and constant crashes. furthermore, there is no single player mode. I would gladly pay $3-$5 for an ad-free & single player version…

I too would pay not to have an ad after every single play. I am having issue where the game won’t update – the only way I can get to my ongoing games is to start a new one and then abandon it. Anyone with this issue or any ideas?

Also, the random opponent takes way too long. The Scrabble for Palm Pre Plus was much better when it worked. It quit working all of a sudden, and in spite of multiple bad reviews, EA Support never reponded or fixed.

It’s not that they are using cheat apps, it’s that they are simply guessing words because there’s no penalty for fake or misspelled words like in the real game. Hanging with friends on iOS is just as bad as words with friends in this regard.. What’s the point of playing hang man or scrabble with made-up words? People would rather beat their friend than actually enjoy a friendly game I guess.

I’ve noticed that it is much speedier on wifi than on 3g. Has anyone tried on lte? Better than wwf though. By a mile. Droid Charge here, just not in my lte area at the moment
