Thursday Poll: Your Favorite New App is…

We’re always looking for the next big app to show up on Android, but one of the best ways we’ve found is to simply ask all of our fabulous readers.  In the past we’ve asked what your current list of tops apps is – starting this month though, we want to make it a much more regular thing.  So instead of a random poll, we’re going to do our best to ask you once a month what your favorite app of the moment is.  And of course, feel free to list more than one, but the goal here is to find out which app you’ve stumbled upon recently and just can’t live without.

For me, it’s Flex T9 keyboard that was an Amazon app of the day.  Every time I pickup a new device to review or mess around with, I find myself downloading the Amazon store immediately just so that I can put Flex on it.  I’m officially addicted to this keyboard.

And Tato wanted to point out that he can’t get enough Nano Panda, HeyTell, and SMS Popup.  That’s three I know, but he’s special.

What about you guys?  Any current app addictions?

There’s a few apps that really catch my eye. I really REALLY enjoy Zeam launcher. I’m not sure why I prefer it over Go Launcher or LPP. But yeah.
Zeam Launcher and the latest Swiftkey Beta.

Swiftkey is so fantastic. It’s predictive capabilities are like no other and it’s aesthetically pleasing.

Mint is fantastic. I always found myself wanting a widget that could keep up with how much money I have in my account so I can see my balance without logging into my bank on their site/app. Mint displays this along with debts, savings and other things and so far seems to work well. Privacy may be a concern for some though, as the app needs your login credentials for any accounts you want it to interface with.

For me it has to be LBE Privacy Guard.  Whenever you install an app it showing you all the permissions the app wants and let’s you revoke the ones you don’t want it to have access to.  You can revoke perms  outright or have the app prompt you when it tries to use those perms.

I love Flex too, but is there anyway to get it to STOP suggesting to me to “try swiping”.  That is so annoying.  If I’m typing I’m typing for a reason.  I know it swipes too.

Well since I accidently spent $.99 on that seekdroid app they refunded it and gave me 5 dollars credit for apps only, so I bought x men and battleheart. They looked fairly polished. My old favorite apps used to be emulators and tv show stream and movie show stream, but it seems google has taken then down and completely lost track of what used to make them so much better then iOS. Granted I still love android, just sad to see the pros we had go away. I also got 2 dollars promotion credit for anything on seekdroid as well. So I bought magicka for like $3. Pretty good PC game I say.

I can say that the Amazon App itself has me checking it every single morning and no other app does that.

Also, I can’t help but use TuneIn Radio on a constant basis.

    • Razrback501

Plus one to that. Amazon App store has me checking it first thing every morning too!
