SHADOWGUN Demo Video Released, Headed to Android Market in September

This impressive game called SHADOWGUN first popped up two weeks ago as a potential NVIDIA Kal-El quad-core title and was so impressive that we haven’t been able to stop talking about it.  So to continue to feed our addiction to these new console-quality graphics, the fine folks at Madfinger dropped this demo video of the game at E3 that will surely make your jaw slap the floor.  We had previously just seen a couple of screenshots followed by a quick walk-through of a single area, but this thing takes us into battle against mutants, shows ammo pickups, blood, and so much more.  It’s pretty ridiculous.

And at the end of the trailer, you’ll notice that they plan to release the game sometime in September of this year.  Yeah, that’s just 3 months away.

See, this is the way graphics should be!

Too bad my fat ass fingers will block everything!

His run animation is just so distractingly…off…that it ruined the entire trailer for me, because I couldn’t stop looking at it. Do you see ANYBODY run like that?! What’s with the knee-high Looney-Tunes run?!!!

Also, the physics for the guy pulling the lever is really bad. It looks like he’s putting so much effort before he moves it, but the act of moving it is too quick and effortless. Anywho, this demo doesn’t really change my life–The graphics look good, I guess. But revolutionary and world-changing and democracy-sharing? Ehh…

    Better graphics than wii u

Dude has one of the funniest walk/run leg animations I’ve seen in a video game.

    • Granted

that was absolutely my first thought. The game looks stellar, but I can’t lie when I say that kept detracting me from the gameplay. But I’ll still be buying it for sure. It does look like every other shooter though.

Too bad its now exclusive to Android. Would have upped the competitition.

    • Emeraldjun

      Correction: NOT exclusive.

I think after this comes out android can finally be considered better than iOS in gaming

      funny how they’re releasing Kal-El demo’s when nobody owns a Kal-El tablet..

      • Anonymous

I think that’s to show the power or the processor.

its supposed to be out for use later this year, I can wait for awhile to get one

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aVttB25oPo&feature=player_embedded#at=159 if you actually looked at the title of the youtube video you will notice its coming out for IOS, secondly @facebook-100000079676741:disqus the developer confirmed you don’t even need kal-el or a tegra device

      • Anonymous

I sure hope my Droid X can play this!

        • Jeremy Gentry

it will most likely have scaled down graphics for the lower end devices and probably the version you are seeing above is the “better” looking version that will be available on “tegra2/kal el”

      • Granted

Ahaha! I knew kellogs was pumping up a game for his iphone! Android beats Apple in everything except games, and they have a while to go before that. And for all you sheep who think kleenex doesn’t own an iphone, hah! Delusion!

still looks like gears of war, which im ok with!

  • Rich Floresjr

That looks absolutely amazing! Now if only someone could get the PS3 Bluetooth controllers to work on the phones/tablets!!!

    • http://twitter.com/AndroidEcko Bonifacio

      I agree, but until then…

There is a method to connect a wii controller to an Android device: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/feature.asp?t=how_to&c=20745
So maybe try with this controller:
      http://www.amazon.com/Wing-Wireless-Controller-Wii-Nintendo/dp/B001G0SGAY

Don’t know if that particular controller will work (it may be Wii-mote only), but its worth a shot.
