I get what you mean about the updates, it can be frustrating. BUT... when I read Amazon's response to you, I think I'd rather have one complete update every once in awhile, then an update with a minor change almost daily. I know this has more to do with how the devs are releasing their updates... but I have to admit, it gets a little old when "XYZ" app is constantly making me update. I will sometimes skip an update and wait for a more comprehensive one. In the Amazon market, I think you should be allowed to make the determination of whether or not you want to update.

I'm thinking these are two different topics tho, so before everyone jumps on me for that, I understand I'm comparing oranges and... other round fruit.

I do like the Free Daily App... some days they're just "meh"... and I don't care. If they have a free game, I'll download it, give it a shot. I uninstall a lot of them, but I like the ability to try them out for free. It helps take out the sting from the Android Market reducing the return policy on paid apps. I've gotten some great paid apps that I use daily... SwiftKey, Soundhound, Business Calendar, WeatherBug Elite, Fancy widget Pro, Gentle Alarm... and others that I don't use everyday, but are nice to have available.

I am not a fan of the Amazon App Store except for the free app a day. I don't like it because the Amazon App Store does not update their apps when the developer submits a new one. I emailed them to ask why I have had some apps that have not been updated for over 3 weeks and this is their responce:

"To provide you with the best possible Appstore experience we test all apps and updates submitted to us prior to making them available in our store to verify that each app works as outlined in the product description, does not impair the functionality of the mobile device, and does not put your data at risk once installed.

Updates for your apps will automatically be made available in this section of the Appstore once the developer submits the app, and it's approved by our Review Team.
Our goal is for Amazon Appstore customers to have a great experience with every app they buy from the Appstore. As a result, updates may not be available as quickly as other marketplaces, but you can feel safe knowing that each app has been tested to act as advertised."

What are your thoughts? It seems like we have a free market (Android) and regulated market (Amazon).
