It’ll go days without issue and then crash out and reboot 6 or 7 times in a row randomly when I go to press the lock button, it just doesn’t turn on for a sec then starts booting up.

I did the
update a few days ago and have experienced serious battery issues ever since. My stock
battery became dead in about 3-4 hours with light use. Verizon has the extended
battery on sale at half price so I bought it. Unfortunately It drained in about
6 hours – what a waste of money. I am disgusted with this phone. The battery
pre-update lasted 6-7 hours with medium usage and now MAY last that long with with this huge appendage sticking out my phone precluding my ability to use my $30 holster I previously purchased.

I also notice the battery feels warm to the touch.

Today in church I took no
calls, GPS was off, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth were off and the ringer was muted and
it it was dead after 7 hours of simply being on in a 4G area. I am also experiencing reboot issues like when I first got the phone the day after it came out. I should have now better than to trust Verizon again on an update.

It is not as though I am misusing
the phone and being an electrical engineer I tend to be more forgiving than most for technical issues but his is
unacceptable. Not sure why
Google/HTC/Verizon are such failures but I don’t like feeling like an alpha tester for a device I need for my business.

Installed the new software and my HTC Thunderbolt still reboots…not
quite as much as it used to but is still does. This is a POC phone in
my opinion…I mean it works great, when it is working….the rebooting
issue is a nuisance. I may convert over to the iPhone…

i’ve been experiencing rebooting on numerous occasions, but i’ve noticed it tends to happen when i drive in certain areas, to the point where i now expect it to reboot when i cross a certain bridge or turn a certain corner and 9 times out of 10 it happens…could it be switching from one tower to the next?

Started work at 6am this morn and from 630-800 I experienced 4 restarts, 3 while running Pandora 1 while booting up after a restart, and 2 thus far… And its only 11am, yay! I will say though it doesn’t seem to restart when I’m playing games for example, order and chaos, angry birds, gba emulator, and tibiaME. I never liked Verizon till I got this phone too, now this starts happening and I feel like I should have settled for the EVO. Sigh at least I finished typing this.

Since this over the air update, my phone has randomly shutdown everyday, no joke. Today this $250.00 has been frozen up all day, today I can’t even log on to it. I’ve taken the battery out several times to get it to reset itself. This is a cool device but I find it not safe to have as a cell phone.

Yes issue on 3 Tbolts here with maps force closing and Gps take 3+min to get lock.

Mine is rebooting two-three times a day on average….more so when it connects to bluetooth. I hope they get a patch out soon.

Yes, since updating, restarting like crazy. I lost count how many times today, but I believe at least 10 today thus far.

ps: I just noticed below that someone mentioned reduced battery life. My battery’s also been draining a lot faster than it usually does.

Count me in. I downloaded the update some days ago and the reboots have just started today.
