Thanks…for those of us with old Ally’s still ‘in the wild’ I appreciate your article. My wife skipped the update on her phone and I needed the link to get the utility downloaded on the phone as it doesn’t show up in the market anymore via searching.

I love my Ally but ever since this update, it’s been a royal pain. I never had any problems with it before but after I did the update, I have to reboot my phone at least 3 times before I can send any kind of txt or pix msg, it has some serious lag time even though I only have about 3 apps installed. etc…… Any more problems & I’m going to Verizon & tell them, “your update broke it, you fix it”.

I’m dealing with the same email issue after the update and find it very irritating. They don’t even have a “delete all” option and you have to go through each one. If I would have a choice I’d go back to the way the phone was before this update.

Downloaded the app and the update. Change to POP3 email. Keeps every email downloaded, even after they are taken off of the mail server. Anybody have a fix to get back to how the email worked prior to the update?

I noticed a difference in my txting after the update before I found this article… so that’s good, I can tell the update actually did something, lol. As for liking this phone, I love it! Sure it needs more space, and isnt as fast as my fiance’s Incredible, but it’s alot better than my old Samsung.

That’s what it first did to me. Did you follow that link shown in the picture above? That’s what I did, I downloaded whatever the link gave me and my phone started to download the update. I don’t see any major changed though.

So I downloaded it…it started to install..said it was going to reboot…and now NOTHING! Wont power on, lights will not power on, except the blue flashing one when its on the charger but the battery is out. I have tried the battery pull trick to the reboot and nothing. Really pissed because it was just fine before I started the update.
