DROID Incredible 2 Shows Up on Verizon Website

A reader stumbled upon the device page for the DROID Incredible 2 just minutes ago, making that April 28th “All Channels” launch date almost look too far away.  Is there still a chance we could see this phone next Thursday, April 21?  It’s not all that likely, but with the DROID Charge seemingly set for the 28th as well, it wouldn’t surprise us if one of them showed up next week.  The device page for the Inc2 doesn’t include any surprises, but that’s likely because we already gave you things like the user guide and official specs.

Oh and I should point out that the screenie up top mentions Skype Mobile.  With video?  Hmmm.

One more shot below.

Cheers Yianni!

    from an Ipad… REALLY!?

  • Trayjake22

It seams that 9999.99 is a little bit to high for my taste

  • Dave

Whats new on the blog ..?

  • Warlike1919

It seems every other company are getting all these sweet, dual-core phone except for verzion…..

    • Weapondrift

VZW is supposed to recieve the X2 (supposed dual core)

      • Warlike1919

yes but both is supposed dual core phone that will come soon are all by moto, while as every other carrier, as more than one company making great dual core phones for them..

  • Weapondrift

    hey! IM FROM DECATUR!! :o

I hope they release the Incredible 2 this coming week and the Xperia Play the next. Of course the 28th will probably be the Charge release day. Bah…

Is it not a little ironic… iP*d? really?

  • Anonymous

Hmmm so i think my update to my tbolt comes may 15th with the ota to turn off the free hotspot…and a tbolt 3d either in august 2011, or feburary 2012…..

  • Anonymous

Don’t have LTE here (and even if we did, handoff between 3G and LTE is a major fail) and don’t want 3G. Thank you Verizon for giving me no reason to waste money on an upgrade this year. May as well let my contract run out and move to Sprint.

  • Fyrmedic654

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I can only find 3 distinct differences between this and the Tbolt.
    1) Tbolt is 4g where available
    2) Tbolt has a 32gb sdCard
    3) Inc2 is a global device

    Did I miss anything?

    • Anonymous

yah…..4.3 inch screen, kickstand with dolby speaker/surround sound. Those are the main points… oh it also probably has a bigger battery.

      • Fyrmedic654

Batteries are the same… kickstand doesn’t mean squat…at least to me…and I’m not sure I would really notice a quarter of an inch, or how many truely would.

        • DBK

It basically comes down to whether or not you want 4G.

i think a htc skype update very very soon!

  • xwera43

Here’s a different shot. The link above is no longer valid.

  • Jacob

why is this person using a ipad???

  • http://twitter.com/xsicRagex sicRage

Damn Kellex, an iPad? lol like the others, it was first thing I noticed.. price is a but steep.. but it is a DROID. lol :D

  • http://twitter.com/Skitz_Marz Alex Gandero

    thats one expensive ass phone….DAMN!

  • Anonymous

apparently they removed the original droid incredible from verizon’s site.

  • Anonymous

Just saying, if you have to debate between the inc 2 and droid x2, and 4g doesn’t matter personally i would take the inc 2 because of sense, updates, etc…..but…

IF YOU HAVE THE PATIENCE TO WAIT, IM SURE BY FALL, WHEN THE THUNDERBOLT’S TIME SPAN ENDS, WE WILL BE GETTING THE TBOLT 3D? LOL.

    • DBK

Ugh…..So not looking forward to the release of the 3D phones……

    • http://twitter.com/Skitz_Marz Alex Gandero

i don’t think we’ll be getting that for another year on Verizon

    • Anonymous

Neither are 4g but the dx2 is dual core. Im still not going to support moto though, as long as they keep encrypting.

  • Anonymous

Which phone would be better for a smart phone newbie, INC 2 or the Droid X2? 4g doesn’t matter so I am debating between these 2 phones.

    • DBK

      *cough*Droid3*cough*

    • Vanilla Ice

Dinc 2 for sure. Sense>Blur. The real plus for dx2 is the dual core and awesome display!

      • DBK

New Blur => Sense. At least until Sense 3.0 comes out. :P

        • http://twitter.com/Skitz_Marz Alex Gandero

          False

          • DBK

False in your mind, truth in reality.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001992840095 Tj Allen

            nope, just false altogether..

          • http://twitter.com/xsicRagex sicRage

the new blur is actually quite nice on the surface, until you add a widget.. i do actually use it as my default home. Thats saying a lot considering the first thing i did when i got my X and it had 2.1, i bought launcher pro plus.

        • Warlike1919

sense 3.0 is already out on htc sensation, i am waiting until htc ports something like the sensation on verzion

          • DBK

            That’s what I meant. :)

    • Jawshua

Well I would say I’m biased after owning a DROIDX, so if you were picking between the two I’d definitely go for the X2. But if you can wait, I’d hold out for the Bionic.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001992840095 Tj Allen

Depends on what you want to do with your phone.. if you’re eventually hoping to play the modding/custom Rom game, stay away from the Moto devices and go with the INC2. Simple as that. If you don’t care about that stuff, then just go play with them after they come out and decide which one you like best.

  • Cj250mills

I’m pretty set on this, thunderbolt is just a bit too large for me and imo 3g is fast enough for any mobile data I use anyway.. I don’t wanna wait for the bionic (if it even releases) and I dont want motoblur. Is this the perfect phone or should I go for something else?

    • Anonymous

if you don’t want 4g and hate sense as i do, then this is the perfect phone for you on verizon. I have the thunderbolt but i like my screen and 4g…

      • Cj250mills

        hate motoblur?*

        • Anonymous

          wow, lol, yah. edit…

  • Elijah

    fake.

  • Anonymous

Hmm fake possibly? sure…..lol at the 99,999….its only 99800 dollars over my budget. lol. I have a tbolt though, so im happy….

  • Mike

2 things are wrong with this picture…
1: it’s price is a bit high for me.
    2: Its on an iPad

    • Vanilla Ice

hahaha^…… The Droid and Droid eris launched on the same day. why not the droid charge and dinc 2? Ones better than the other and cheaper. why not give customers options. The only good thing about the dinc 2 is the updates it will get before the charge and its world friendly

    • CaptainHowdy

Thats the first thing I saw was the IPAD top left hahahahaha this is bad

    • Anonymous

That price is over nine thousand!

    • tjhrulz

      I noticed that too lol

    • http://www.meetmymatch.co.uk/ Dating Websites

      Thanks for this update Mike

  • Guest

Incredible 2 or wait for Bionic? Or Thunderbolt???

    • Anonymous

easily the thunderbolt unless you want global which- the incredible 2. if not don’t get the bionic as motorola and motoblur suck big time…

      • DBK

The new motoblur is quite good, actually. My guess is, you probably haven’t even tried the new one. Typical.

        • Anonymous

I have, on my droid x. The new leaked gingerbread. Look i just don’t like motoblur. I like sense better, it has more features and my kind of style in my opinion.

          • DBK

Exactly. Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it sucks or that everyone will agree with you. If you are going to give out advice on which phone to get, stick to using hardware as your selling point since the software on both is pretty good. Or you could state that you may not like it but it is tons better than the current one.

Sorry for being picky, but it is annoying when people try to pass their opinions as fact. You may resume your commenting now. :)

          • http://twitter.com/Skitz_Marz Alex Gandero

sense has always been, and always will be better than Blur. the end/

          • DBK

Again, another opinion, not fact. Technically, the new Blur is a little better than the current Sense, but they are both decent in their own right. When the new Sense (3.0) comes out, then it will be technically better than the new Blur. It’s all about preference. I would rather the new Blur over any version of Sense, but that’s just me. Actually I would rather have Vanilla Android over either, but again, that’s just me.

          • Anonymous

I prefer stock/vanilla & skins/ui is def a matter of the users opinion……….my question is, if u also feel its about “preference” (as u said a few times), how is new blur “technically” better than current sense???

          • DBK

I use that term literally. In technical terms, as in the “specs” and performance of the software, the new Blur is a little better than the current Sense. And when Sense 3.0 comes out, it will be better than the new Blur.

  • FIRST MOFOS

    first :o
