DROID Pro Update to Version 3.8.7.XT610 Ready for Launch

An update for the DROID Pro appears to be ready for launch and will bring the device up to Blur version 3.8.7.XT610 which isn’t Gingerbread, but does appear to be a new numbering scheme for Blur.  After the 43.8MB update, you’ll see much better ActiveSync support and the VCAST Appstore along with some other tweaks to the corporate side of things.  Feel free to head into Settings>About>System Updates to see if the update is ready.

After I installed 3.8.7 my Droid Pro quit allowing me to install apps through the market. Has anyone else had this problem?

i have had significant problems with texts being dropped with this phone. I am on my 3rd Droid Pro now. Anyone having similar issues?

    • RL

I had the same problem, but it was being caused by the number of texts in one thread being capped at 200. Some texts after the cap was hit, weren’t coming to my phone. I changed the message limit cap to ’999′ in the stock messaging app and haven’t had the problem since.

My wife has this phone and it still isn’t showing this update available to her. Any of the few out there who have it NOT get this update yet?

  • Ryan

How come it’s not saying there is an update available for my pro…all it says is all software is up to date but it’s not.

The wife has this pile. Sounds like its more of a bloat/corp update rather then fixing the insane things moto seemed to leave out. Another job well done moto!!! =/

I think that’s the first android device to support encryption on the device and sd card natively.
