LauncherPro (Plus) finally received its Gmail widget today along with a couple of new homescreen transitions, and some other fixes.  Been a while since we’ve had an update, right?  No word on the full re-write, but this should hold you over for a while…

  1. New Gmail widget for Plus users!
  2. New “Flip” and “Rotate 2″ homescreen transition effects. The old “Flip” transition is now called “Flip 2″.
  3. Facebook login is now done through the official Facebook app (where available).
  4. Updated the Twitter widget code to fix some issues.

Is your Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi Black or Silver?

by: | posted 03.27.11 | News

On Friday, one of our readers received his Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi early from Staples, so we made sure to spread the word which it seems many of you took advantage of.  And when he unboxed it, showed off the black back cover, leaving us to believe that the silver model was a European exclusive.  Or is it?  Another of our readers picked up a wifi-only XOOM (from Staples) down in Southern California and was surprised to see it sporting a silver back cover.  It also appears to be missing the “with Google” text that everyone’s black version has.  So what’s the deal?

Note:  Best Buy’s site says their wifi-only model comes in “Dark Titanium” which we’re assuming is this silver color.  So if you want to be guaranteed a silver version, might want to head to Best Buy.  It sounds like Staples is displaying black versions, but sometimes selling the silver version. (Cheers @ScottHubiak!)

To those of you that picked one up this weekend, what are you seeing?  Silver or black?

by: | posted 03.27.11 | News, Rumors

Yesterday we dropped news that the HTC Thunderbolt would be receiving Gingerbread (Android 2.3) some time in Q2 of this year, but many asked about its little brother, the DROID Incredible.  Well, if we are to believe the email below, which is from another HTC rep, it looks like the DI will also see GB in Q2, but towards the end instead.
