Angry Birds Seasons is Free and Ad-free from Amazon Today

Here is your chance to put a stop to that awful lag that’s experienced whenever you play Angry Birds Seasons and an advertisement pops up.  The ad-free version is…FREE, today through the Amazon appstore!  And just so you know, this will replace your currently installed ad-blasted version, but will not overwrite any settings or gameplay.  After installing, you’ll be right where you left off.

  • Are these kind of posts gonna be a regular thing? I hope not cause this really annoys the crap out of me.

I can’t seem to download it. It shows up in the list, but the image for the app is blank. What I click Get App, I get an error “An error occurrred while purchasing Agry Birds Seasons – please try again.” I have tried several times. Maybe later. Original Droid

  • thanks for the update but I think I’ll just go ahead and continue ignoring the Amazon app store.

Still seeing ads. I even deleted the other free version and reinstalled this one, still seeing ads. Anyone else?

I’m really loving this daily free app thing. I already had Seasons installed…but happily installed the paid version for free from Amazon.

Time to step up and make angry pigs.

It will replace the one I downloaded from the android market, or it will be listed in my app drawer as a separate icon?

    • it replaces what you already have, but you don’t lose your progress in the game. Basically, think of it as an upgrade.

So let me get this straight – if you already have the app (with ads) and you have like cleared every level and spent hours playing you can download this through Amazon, make the ads go away and keep all of your progress?????

    • John

This is what the post says, yes.

Sweet going there now – will post if I have problems…….

    • Your comment, it seemed like you were being sorta sarcastic.

I don’t know…but it just felt that way. Like as I was reading, I was expecting some sort of punchline…lol. Strange.

No, I just wanted to make sure – spent like too many hours playing this game to just erase it. I just downloaded it and it works fine – all levels NO ADS – life can continue again. LOL

As long as you don’t unistall the free version first, you should retain your progress. Just install the Amazon version. During installation, it’ll pop up a message saying that your existing settings will be saved… 🙂

Will this work if I uninstall the Amazon Appstore? Aka does it use Amazon’s DRM?

  • John

thx for the heads up. awesome!

Thanks for investigating Kellex, I shied away thinking it would overwrite my progress. I guess I’ll be all in with Amazon after today, huh? What does everyone else think?

Just FYI Root for Droid X running gingerbread was just released through droidattic..

Gotta be one of those people eh? Bet you were following Libya before it became mainstream.

        • John

heh, ya i guess. & no, unfortunately, i haven’t been following the stuff that’s going on in libya

  • Yep, bought…for free!

Let me tell ya…Amazon Appstore is becoming a huge hit amongst its users, I’d say.

    Incredible thing they’re doing…just incredible.

  • Keeps your progress if you already had the Free Android market version installed, and replaces that one so you won’t have 2 separate apps installed. Very nice work from the Amazon Marketplace, they’re really stepping up the competition, especially with that cloud-based storage today!

  • Woohoo! I got a mention! LOL

Ad blocker is built into the Rom I’m running. Good news for normal users tho! ….. Speaking of ROMS, HTC released the Thunderbolt source code 😀
