QuickOffice Pro HD for Honeycomb came out yesterday, and already the 30% off coupons are starting to roll out to those that signed up when we told you to. And remember, this is an additional 30% off of the $14.99 introductory price, so you end with a final price of just $9.99. Not a bad deal on a $24.99 full office suite for your Motorola XOOM.

And I’d drop the coupon code right here in the post, but I want to make sure that everyone who signed up early has a chance to get their order in first. I just tried to buy the non-HD version for my TBolt but it the phone isn’t listed, so I could not make the purchase. I know the TBolt comes with a version of QuickOffice but it is just a viewer, I believe.

Good software is worth paying for. This software (oops – Application) includes a 30 day return policy. For companies to continue to invest in Android, they need to make money. This is (so far) a very good piece of software, especially for $9.99. Thanks to Kellex for posting the original notice.

I purchased this earlier… The only thing that concerns me is when I wipe my Xoom, and reinstall. Did they somehow manage to license the APK for a single install?

I only mention this because of how it said you needed to download it directly to the phone, and not to your computer and copy it…. Or was that just there way of trying to not have the APK all over the place….?

I vote for Quickoffice. It seems smoother, faster, and it just “feels” better on the Xoom. I haven’t deleted Docs to Go yet, but if I could only keep one, it would be Quickoffice. Perhaps someone, more ambitious than me, can do a feature-by-feature breakdown.

I have had Doc to Go for over a year and I love the phone version. Quickoffice had issues opening a lot of office docs before this version. It looks like they fixed the issues and made leaps ahead. For $10, this is a great deal. Now I have QuickOffice on my Xoom and Doc to Go on my Droid.

Is anyone else having issues with the charging light not lighting on their zoom?

It only lights up when the device is off. Doesn’t make much sense to me since I never turn my Xoom off.

It didn’t make sense to me either then I read somewhere that they don’t have the light on when it is powered because then it would be very annoying as a bedside clock in the dock (which I do).

I see it asks you the model of your tablet. I’m thinking of getting it for my G-Tab so that I’ve got it when Honeycomb’s finally ported to it. Anyone care to guess whether it will work on the G-Tab if I buy it now specifying a Xoom as my tablet?
