Sorry I’ve been waiting for a fix to stop the lock ups. But in general carriers seem slow to push the updates out.

I have mixed feelings about this. Part of me wants the newest and greatest but i am gun shy after froyo. I had more issues with my Droid X after the froyo update than before. I also after 9 months finally rooted my X and not sure if i am willing to give that up for Gingerbread. And then there is the whole thing about whether this is even true. How many times did we hear that froyo is coming on this date and then that date and 4 month later after every phone but the Droid X already had it, then we got it. I will believe it when i see it.

I would honestly rather use a damn feature phone than put up with that disgusting mess they call blur. I’m sure I’m not the only one here that prefers a custom Froyo build than any 2.3 coming from Motorola. Why oh why can’t I get a Nexus S with Verizon

Oh and by the way, roms for the OG are the real deal. It’s the ones for the X that are hack jobs that can only be done after Moto gets around to sending out an update. That’s why this article is so important for X owners, and anyone with an OG could care less if Moto ever sends out an official update to GB.
