Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi Available for Pre-order at Costco and Amazon

Pre-orders for the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi have started over at Costco and Amazon, but one of them will set you back $10 less.  Costco is offering it up for $589 and also tossing in a gel case to help protect your beautiful new 10″ investment.  Anyone jumping on this?  If you need more info, we wrote up a Motorola XOOM review that I highly recommend you check out.  Just ignore any 3G talk in it.

The exhibit is  called "Picasso to Koons: Artist as
    Jeweler." You probably will
    recognize the names of
    barbour
    jacket
many of the more than one hundred artists  represented at the barbour
    jackets
    show. Names like
    Georges Braque, Max Ernst,  Alexander
Calder and Salvador Dali, Robert Rauschenberg and Louise Nevelson and barbour
    uk.

One hundred thirty of the rings, necklaces,
    barbour
    ladies
    and
brooches are from the collection of art expert Diane Venet. She helped
    to set  up the exhibit.

      Ms. Venet
met French sculptor Bernar Venet about twenty-six years ago. A short
time  later, he gave her a piece of quilted
    jackets
    silver
designed as a ring. The ring celebrated the fact that they would soon be  married. Ms. Venet said it was the first
    piece of barbour
    quilted jackets
    an
artist’s jewelry she had ever had.

      As time
passed, Bernar Venet exchanged pieces with mens barbour
    jacket
    artist friends
    who sometimes created jewelry.  Ms.
Venet’s personal collection grew and grew, and she decided to exhibit it  with works of barbour
    mens
    the other artists.

      Holly
Hotchner is the director of the Museum   of Arts and Design. She  says the ladies barbour
    jackets
    museum
considers jewelry as one of the most important forms of art today. She
notes  that a piece of jewelry
    kid’s barbour
    jacket
is not  just a small version of a sculpture.

I think the Xoom price needs to be around $300 to grab market share. I expect Android tablet to be affordable like their Smartphone’s with the specs I want.

$539 at Sams sounds better to me. Plus I like their store policy.

Question, does the wifi only xoom have gps built in? I read it somewhere but I’m not positive.

    • Anonymous

      Yes it does.

  • JT

So why March 27 (besides the fact that its my B-day)??? Its a Sunday; I’m pretty sure that UPS doesn’t deliver on Sunday…

  • Batdroid

    Just purchased…WBAHAHA

  • Anonymous

… after reading the LTE news, i am not shure, if i will get the 3G

    • droiddoes

      Please expain

      • Anonymous

        Verizon’s LTE is very fast.

Cant wait to get my hands on the Xoom. Don’t really see the need to pre-order unless it will arrive on the 27th. There are so many different retailers that will be selling them its not likely that they will all sell out on the first day. I will be at the doorstep of one of these retailers, not waiting for the mailman.

I’m waiting for Best Buy’s … got a store credit from a dead ipod to burn ;-)

  • IncrediblePat

I really really planned on getting one but now that I’ve learned of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Idk.

I’ll get this if the GTab 10.1 is a ways off.

  • Jeffgh24

Has anyone seen if the Sam’s Club $539 price is true?

  • Lucky04

Shouldn’t a wi-fi only tablet be cheaper than this? Like $499?

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1625477640 Dave Martinez

No, because it has 32GB of internal memory, this price actually matches that of the i*ad2 wifi only 32GB model

      • Lucky04

Oh ok, I didn’t know, thanks

Which means they should probably offer a 16GB or even 8GB version instead. The massive, important difference between the ipad2 and the Xoom (in terms of storage) is that the Xoom has an SD card slot. For that reason, 32GB is entirely superfluous, especially if including it results in such a high price. I’d much prefer to see a 8GB/$499 version.

I’m just going to wait until the price drops to $500 or less. I don’t need it that bad.

  • Jake

Now show us on the doll where the Xoom grabbed you…

  • Engaget

Kellex hyoebeast ass must feel stupid for buying a 3g version

    • Anonymous

I got the 3g version as well, Paid $600 with the contract. I regret nothing.

  • Anonymous

It’s tempting, but I’m going to wait until all of it’s features actually work.

  • http://twitter.com/EvanTheGamer EvanTheGamer

This Summer, I am OWNING one of them XOOMs. I must. I gotta grab one, before it grabs me!

    Wait a second…

  • Anonymous

Samsung’s 10.1 will smoke the Xoom in weight and style. But the Costco price is great considering it includes a costly bumper.

  • FortitudineVincimus

gotta love that $50 in CA sales tax

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1625477640 Dave Martinez

Exactly, that’s why I just pre-ordered it from amazon and bought the gel case from one of the cheaper retailers on amazon

  • http://twitter.com/pcriz Perry Meg

    Staples states:

“Pre-order your Motorola Xoom by March 23rd, 2011 to reserve one of these limited quantity tablets. Product will ship by March 25th. Expected delivery: 1 – 3 business days. Your credit card will be charged at shipment.”

The Xoom also is eligible for a straight to store delivery but I don’t know how that affects delivery time…

  • http://twitter.com/gorkon Joel McLaughlin

Any word on when these will ship??

  • http://www.thecarners.com Matt R Carner

Let’s also not forget Costco’s Incredible customer service and return policy.

I as much as I now want to pull the trigger I think I need to wait until the HTC tablet is out to know if I am getting a good deal. If nothing else maybe it’ll cause even more competitive pricing. As in I’m not bitching about the price, but just hoping it could go lower depending on how HTC prices theirs.

    • Anonymous

Looks like HTC’s first tablet won’t even be running Honeycomb. It is currently available for pre-order in the UK (£500.00 (£600.00 w/VAT)).

      http://www.clove.co.uk/htc-flyer

      • Anonymous

HTC said it will be upgraded to Honeycomb sometime in the second quarter.

    • Anonymous

Im bitching about the price. I’d buy at $500 because that’s the value it has for me. Someone find a place taking discount codes.

  • Anonymous

is this an amazon prime product?! haha

but i think im going to wait for the first hype on wifi to go by, then see what the prices are.

dont you think when a few others come out this will get closer to the $500?

  • http://twitter.com/dukebrian Brian Lewis

Costco won’t ship til 4/1. Also, no tax for most on Amazon. Something to think about. I’m leaning towards Amazon.

Also – has anyone found a better case than the two Motorola sells? I’m unimpressed but obviously need one.

    • BloodiedWraith

You really should add YMMV on the no tax comment for Amazon. I unfortunately live in NY where they do now tax and have been taxing for 2+ years now thanks to our horrible laws.

      • Anonymous

Because giving money to the state is so horrible.

        • BloodiedWraith

I take it you know nothing about what NY did with online merchants, so therefore your comment is completely unnecessary.

          http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/02/nyregion/02amazon.html

Next time, think before you post something stupid like that.

          • Anonymous

Read the article, and my comment still stands. It’s great that New York is able to pull off such a sneaky move like that. Paying taxes should be considered a good thing.

          • Anonymous

Its a necessary thing, NOT a good thing…

          • Anonymous

Paying taxes would be great if we could control which programs they fund. Paying retired cubicle hamsters insane pensions does not make me happy. For what it’s worth, I am a state employee, but I also understand that the state shouldn’t steal money at will from its citizens to make my life easier. If the state’s broke and can’t afford to pay me, the loss should be mine, not the taxpayers.

          • Anonymous

I mostly agree with you there. We should have some more control over where our taxes go. But I don’t think making people pay taxes for online purchases is stealing. Buying online to avoid paying sales tax is like large companies avoiding taxes by basing themselfs overseas.

          • Al

@cleetose You and taxes can suck it!!! especially when your government is spending the money you are replenishing with your tax money. You can pay for their mistakes, but I never will! Have a nice life troll.

i know, but i dont want to get into the fact that the gov wastes billions

        • Apples

If the state is frittering that money away on corruption, then yes, it is quite horrible. I’d rather starve the beast than support it.

          • Anonymous

Starve the government and you starve yourself.

          • Anonymous

            No.

I agree it is horrible, Amazon check, 3.99 next day shipping check, Xoom check

    • palomosan

I’m with you, I’m a prime member so I’ll get it the next day, even though it says two days, I usually get it the next day and Amazon might cut the price by $50, they always do stuff like that.
