Now if they combined this talk and text with the data plan for a cheaper price, I would def get it. Im confused on how this is going to work since they call it voLTE (Voice Over Long Term Evolution) which to my understandings that the voice data is over the internet aka data. Almost like Skype , like how thats over the internet. So why not combine! (Verizon, I thought you were about the people!! LOL)

if verizon makes there data plan more than 29.99 im sure they will loose a lot of people going for 4g!! i know if it cost more than 30 a month, i will no switch to verizon! just saying!! hope they keep the prices as is! also food for thought. if you had a 4g phone and started with the unlimited data plan for 29.99 … and then prices changed.. would you have to pay more for the 4g plan than originally signed up for?

I use about 5GB/month when travelling or driving (Pandora and tethering (Droid OG)). Average is closer to 3.5-4GB/month.

Luckily I’ve been in a living situation where I’m the only one in the house that uses the internet. I pay $80 a month for my share of the family plan and get unlimited texting and insurance. I tether my OG Droid so I don’t need to pay the cable company for internet which would at best be like $40 a month. Having a smartphone that powers my laptop with internet as well at a total of $80 is a really good deal actually. I suppose I wouldn’t complain too much if I have to up it to $100 (accounting for the increase in tax with the $15 add on for 4G). I’ve seen 4G in action on the data card and it’s BAD ASS!

Typo in first sentence. Should be “off” instead of “of”. As was said in the last sentence I pay 20 instead of 30. 10 dollars off, sorry about the confusion lol.

But since its for my 3g data if I switch to the 4g data I guess I will be back at paying 30.

Verizon at one point released a family “data plan” which allowed you to add a line WITH unlimited data/text/ ect for 29.99, and then a $20 credit per line. My family is currently on a plan where all 4 phones have data. My bill shows up as $29.99 data plan -$20 data promotion (on every line). So I essentially pay 10 bucks per line for data + 10 bucks for add a line.
