Time and Date Contrast Live Wallpaper is Your 3D Clock Replacement

Time and Date Contrast Live Wallpaper just took over my homescreen.  The idea for this clock seems so simple, but that might just be why I’m loving it so much.  I had actually started working on this post last night, but was treated to an update this morning that gives you the ability customize the top and bottom colors to match your current theme which was request #1 from us.  Aside from the colors, the beauty here is really the action between the time and date, which you’ll see when sliding from screen-to-screen giving it an almost 3D feel.  Not bad for a free clock option that doesn’t take up any widget space.

Oh, and the developer is just getting started, so we’ll likely see font options, clock/date options, and who knows what else.  Might want to get in early on this one.

Cheers Shane!

    - For all of your wondering how to make the Bluetooth and WiFi toggles like the image above -

Make sure you have Switchpro installed. Hard-press the homescreen, select widget, then make a single switchpro switch. Choose WiFi, or Bluetooth, whatever, then chose background as none. You will need to repeat this for the second icon. You can then resize as you wish using launcherpro plus.

    Hope this helps, all.

What is the widget shown here with the bluetooth/wireless settings?

Minimalist heaven. One suggestion though: for those of us with more/less than the standard 5 homescreens, let us configure the default rotation angle.

Blek, getting so sick of the Yellow Liberty theme in all of the DL screen shots.

    This is incredible! Awesome Kellex!

What theme is being used here?

    • M1ghtysauc3

It’s the stock theme for Liberty 1.0 on his DX. Also available for D2

  • Munstir

Can someone tell me everything being used on this homescreen so my phone can look this sexy please?

    • M1ghtysauc3

Sure thing buddie. He’s on a droid x with the liberty 1.0 rom. It’s available for the droid 2 as well. Great rom. And the dock can be found on here. Just go back and look through the posts

      • M1ghtysauc3

And there’s many themes for the rom as well. The yellow is the stock theme.

To be honest I like clockr better, you can keep it on the top layer of the main screen and it is out of the way.

I do like the contrast in colors and the toggles though!

  • softpillowcase

what app lets you have the gmail messages and phone shortcuts like that?

    • Anonymous

      It’s LauncherPro (Plus?)

You have to download the dock background (save the picture and then choose it in the options), which contains the text. Then you have to change the icons (that are where the text is) to a transparent image.

  • Kevoskee

Looks cool and simple. Good thing this is free

  • DMBatCOFC

Nice update! On a side note… what bluetooth and wifi toggles are those?

This is very cool. Looks great with some Circle Launchers!

I wish there was a way to raise up where the time shows; it’d totally replace my home/weather widget if I could.

Also, anyone know how to hide the clock on the lock screen? This would be perfect for that.

    • joe oberster

If you use WidgetLocker you can set your lock screen to have a separate wallpaper from your home screen.

      • http://mattdemers.com Matt Demers

        Perfect. Thanks.

With all these beautiful clock widgets you’d think in some rom we’d get the ability to disable the system bar clock. One thing that always bugs me is that I have two clocks when I want to use one of these awesome clocks.

    • Anonymous

I disable the system bar clock in CyanogenMod

      • Wayne W.

How did you this? I’ve been searching for this… I’m running RC 6.1.0 rc5 instead of the final version because in the final it removed the flash light option from the drop down and I really liked that.

        • Anonymous

I’ve been doing it for a while..not sure how many versions back but I’m on CM 6.1.2

Which flash light option on the drop down? You mean from the notification bar when you pull it down? it’s still there you just have to enable it.

Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > User Interface > Status Bar
Uncheck the box for Show Clock

    • http://zombine.com Dr. Zombine

      I do so with Sapphire.

Umm, there is a free clock in the upper right that doesn’t take up widget space….

    • EC8CH

    • puck

it’s a live wallpaper NOT a widget so it;s not taking any space

Gotta love the dev’s name on the app… really justifies your comment, “The idea for this clock seems so simple, but that might just be why I’m loving it so much.”
