If it isn’t – because people don’t want every screenshot to have an extra notification icon. Very minor, but it annoys me.

Go to the post he linked to, simply save the picture on your phone or save it and transfer it to your phone (I recommend Chrome-to-Phone) and then go into LP’s settings (or Go Launcher, which also allows custom docks) and choose the picture as the background for your dock. Then download the transparent icon from below and set it as the icon for each app over the words.

Is nobody using the Z4Root app found here, dowload it and then Shoot Me app and BOOM!!! rooted phone and screen capture, takes less than 5 minutes. Do it and quit crying, they guy (Klamath) who connects his phone to the USB and then does his thing on the computer is just doing too much work for something so simple, catch up with the times bro. Rooted DX baby!

So can anyone tell me why Google makes the process of taking screenshots so cumbersome? I mean, the iPhone does it right out of the box, no need for an app or anything. With my Droid X, I have to connect it in USB mode to my PC, with USB debugging enabled, then click on DDMS.bat and then choose Capture screen, in order to just take one. I mean, I’m glad you still can, but why isn’t this enabled right out of the box?

I know that Samsung devices do come with this feature enabled, but why don’t any other Android phones. The only one’s I’ve ever heard are the Samsung Galaxy S devices.

It’s not hard to root nowadays brother, all you gotta do is download an app and let it run (Z4Root), easiest rooting app you’ll ever encounter and you can find it here.
