Good post..Well If you are incapable of installing the Android SDK and running a couple of adb commands then this a very good option .go for it- SuperOneClick.Thanks for the instructions for downloading it…

I’ve been rooted for quite a while but I can’t get my kid to root his…he says if the one click rooting comes back he will probably root..is it time for him to root?

Well SuperOneClick is a a great source for easy rooting if you are incapable of installing the Android SDK and running a couple of adb commands….The app has evolved a lot since then, is now on version 1.3.5, and even roots the Droid 2 running the latest 2.3.20 update….Thanks

I just got the Ec05 OTA update from Sprint and this DOES NOT work for me at all. It runs and runs but never seems to finish – even when left for hours at a time.

My Dell Streak is use Android 2.2 with :
Baseband : GAUSB1A131800-EU
Kernel : 2.6.32.9-perf
Build : 12821
is success to ROOT !!!!

with this step :
This is what worked for me. On Dell’s 318 Build. I put debugging on, turned off my Streak:
1. Get a copy of Super One Click 1.7.0
2. Turn off Phone
3. Start Super One Click BY RIGHT CLICKING ON THE PROGRAM AND SELECTING “RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR”
4. When the program starts, check rageagainstthecage exploit
5. Click Run in Super One Click (do NOT turn the phone on yet)
6. When Super One Click says “waiting for device”, plug in phone and turn it on
7. Wait for a while while the phone boots up. Tons of messages will go by. Sometimes it looks like it is hanging. It is not
8. Finished! You should be nice and rooted.
After 3 days finally i finished “How to root my Dell Streak Android 2.2 build 12821″
Hopely this can be help the other whom not yet success to root Dell Streak.
This is the process :

Just a question about one click root. Since they have the on click on the computer how soon do you guys see a true on click on the market like we had with the D1!!
