The difference between ROM and RAM is here http://www.diffen.com/difference/RAM_vs_ROM , and 8GB ROM on a smartphone is 100% Unnecessary. Also, why make a phone without HDMI out?? IDK... How about, because I don't store my movies on my phone? I store them on my PC, PS3, and BRDVD discs? The only valid argument here is, why no upgrade to 2.2 with flash on some of these phones... hummingbird proc or not, 1ghz is fine for browsing flash.

FTR, OMAP vs Hummingbird vs Snapdragon... the difference is ALMOST (note, I said almost, not entirely) irrelevant given the nature of 98% of apps on the market are based around a shitty 512m processor... I can run pretty much every app flawlessly on my overclocked 2.2 Eris.

Single vs. dual LED.... whoopdy-shit. :P

Also, the price between these devices is massive. You get the Continuum for a whopping $30, the Incredible for $99, the X is now going for $99 in a lot of places now, but is generally $199, and the new TB is now $250.

It's all about price-point, and what you're willing to sacrifice... being mostly poor, I'm willing to upgrade from my OC'd Eris to a Continuum with a smile on my face... but I would kill for a TB :P

The Continuum will probably get the Froyo update after release, but those thinking of buying it will have to make do without Flash 10.1 support for now. It also has a 5 megapixel camera compared to the 8MP one on the Droid X. Hopefully Verizon will give us better reasons why the Continuum is a worthy option compared to their other lineup of smartphones
