The rumors of PayPal coming to Android as a payment option started getting heavy at the beginning of the month with the most recent word suggesting that it would go live after their developer conference this week in San Francisco. Polarbit Pulls Reckless Racing from Android Market, Piracy Adding to Server Issues

Samsung Announcing New Android Device on November 8th
The holidays are creeping up and we were starting to wonder if we would actually see any major Android devices landing on store shelves or if this year’s shopping season would be uneventful, while we all look forward to CES in January. Up until now, we had only heard a few rumors, but we’re thinking Samsung is prepping something major as they have just invited media members to a special event on November 8th.

Powermat Releases DROID X Receiver
The Powermat receiver door for the Droid X has been released for $39.99 and should ease the charging worries of thousands of battery obsessed individuals. While I personally have yet to use a Powermat, the concept is something that should be considered, especially with a variety of devices always fighting for an open USB slot on my computer. Although, I’m not sure I’m super thrilled about the squared protrusion off the side of the phone with this new back attached, I’d love to hear some readers’ thoughts.
Google Instant Hits Beta for Some Android Devices
Google launched “Instant” back in September for non-mobile devices, but it looks like they’ve released a “beta” into the wild for Android. One of our forum members (marc11284) tipped us after noticing his Google search page had an interesting note attached to it referencing “Instant (beta)” being turned off. So far we’re only hearing of it landing on the original Droid, although ours doesn’t have the instant option yet. We’ll be digging for answers as to when we can all expect the “Instant” feature to mysteriously show up. Check your phones now!
Update: Readers are reporting it on their Droid X, Incredible and OG.
