Is FAIL the trending word now??

I think I like the Galaxy Tab. Always thought the iPad was too large to carry around. Galaxy has the flash I need.

The Question is, can you tether your android phone to it, because as of right now android phones cannot tether to each other due to the fact of the wifi signal being adhoc network, anyone know?

  • FortitudineVincimus

I am just putting this out there as it needs to be said and I am willing to say it.. your gonna look like a total d.bag with this thing up to your ear making a phone call. period.

go look at pictures of this in a persons hand to get some scale and perspective. it is laughably ridiculous.

    • Bluetooth.

and BT is not any less korny?

        uhhhh okay

  • Michael_NM

Galaxy Tab off my list… Nook Color it is. Perfect compliment to my Droid X and priced right as an interim until the powerhouse tablets come out next year…

  • Imajinaxn

I'm on the fence about picking up a wifi only one. I can tether my phone to it no problem and I like the bigger size for portable trips and such. But how likely would the tab get the tablet OS honeycomb?

  • Tracy Wilborn

This thing only has a 3 MP rear facing camera? What a crock! I don't care if it has a 1.3MP front facing camera if the other is only 3.

    • 3 megapixels is more than enough pixels to fill my entire 17″ laptop screen.. I'd rather manufacturers worry about making better cameras than artificially inflating the megapixel count and still giving a crappy camera experience. More megapixels will not make a better picture unless you are blowing it WAAAAAYYYY up

      • deladroid

I agree. They can make a 20 mp camera, but the lens, etc, makes for a crappy photo!

      • Tracy Wilborn

Yes but we should get both. It IS possible to have both megapixels and decent optics. And for the price I don't think it's too much to ask for.

    • M1ghtysauc3

Megapixels means picture size, not quality.

Here's something I didn't know “Verizon is going to give me one for free” *crosses fingers

    Question for DX all owners..

Since the tablet is only 3″ bigger than the DX is it worth to purchase this, even if the price is right??

    • Droydhead

    • Hobin5148

It's a LOT more bigger than you think in person.

      • Toonz

ok, have you seen it? Or just going by online pictures.

  • Andrew Hewitt

“A user would also be able to use it with only one hand”

    I call BS

    • Imajinaxn

1 hand laying flat on a table

    • Cabarete007

That's because you haven't held one. It's totally a one handed device.

  • Michael_NM

Six points… one for each c-note the Tab will set me back…

I'm still on the fence here. I want one, but I think I'll wait until after Droid Life invades CES and reports back… 🙂

EDIT: 2 in one day, in a row. Haha!

    • Michael_NM

Congrats man. BTW: is it okay if I call you Stephanie since you have a Fascinate… LOL 😛

      • Stephen D

That's funny considering it's way faster than any Droid, has a nicer screen, an unlocked bootloader, and better GPU, a good multitouch panel, a superior camera, non-physical buttons, and doesn't look like a 6 year old designed it(ok, TouchWiz does, but I mean the actual phone. The Droids are pretty ugly.) Nothing girly about this phone: http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll21/WiiRocks66/snap20101026_181236.png

        You're just jealous.

        • Michael_NM

Stephen, I was just trying to have a little funny and your expense. I apologize and have edited my comment. For what it's worth, I think the Fascinate is a great phone, but I prefer the Droid X. I really think “better”is in the eye of the beholder. 🙂

          • Stephen D

Thanks. Better IS in the eye of the beholder.
