What did you end up doing? Did they allow you to get different phone? Im having the same issue.

+1 Here. I had to send 3 Certified Like-New Droid 1's back because of defects. The first had stains of some sort under the glass. The second was beat up and had heavy smudges all over, and the third had a key that was separating from the keyboard. After all that nonsense, and three weeks later, I called Verizon and demanded a new phone which they grudgingly allowed.

Funny thing is, mine was doing the random reboots too, in the mid-July and August heat. I kept it because it was usually doing it when in standby, and rarely when I was using it. Now it is fine.

I jumped on this when I saw it, hoping to get one in two days and not two weeks. They weren't showing “Out of Stock” when I ordered one 4 hours ago, so maybe they ran out of returned DXs in that short a time, once others like me snatched them up.

Also, the “Out of Stock” label looks like it was just slapped on there with some cheap paint program. That also makes me think that Verizon had some stock, put them on the website, sold out quickly, and had to prevent others from ordering them.

Has anyone tried ordering one that is out of stock? Maybe it won't let you because they don't know how many they will have in the future… hmmm.

I had to trade mine in but that was because the buttons on the bottom stopped working.
