DROID Pro, World Edition DROID 2 and Tablet Found in Verizon System

See that MOTA956 and MOTA957 above?  Through some leaked screenshots obtained by BGR, we have the first sighting of the Droid Pro and a Droid 2 world edition, hence the “WE” at the end of the description meaning it’s marketed towards business users.  Rumored specs peg the DP with a 4″ screen, 1.3GHz CPU with both devices having global roaming capabilities.  It also looks like we might have the business D2 coming in white?  Interesting.

And next up is what you really are going to start fantasizing over and that’s the Droid tablet

MOTMZ600 is the model you can start Googling immediately.  Rumors surrounding the tablet have it running either 2.2, but more than likely Gingerbread, front and back cameras, 10″, and is similar in size to the i*ad.  Yummy.

How about that for some news to get your Monday going?

Who else is hoping that the 1.3 Ghz processor on the DROID Pro is a throwoff, and the DP actually is the 2GHz monster!

Am i the only 1 excited about a world phone here i travel in the navy and i would love to not have to use my blackberry.

wow, great news, I would like to know more DROID Pro specs.

    Who knows something else.

So is the DP a GSM or what? How does that affect Verizons system – IE do they just have to change some programming, antennaes or ?

What happened to the dual core monster you promised hitting 2ghz moto? Lairs

  • Ius_

I am not buying another Moto product until I see the damn bootloader cracked.

I mean, for my uses, I could never justify switching from a unlockd D1 to a Droid X. I mean…no 2.2. until late september….exchange only via touchdown.

But I guess the majority of people don't care that their new Droid X does less than thier old D1.
    Weird.

I'm with you lus_ … I was about to get the D2 just because of the CPU, extra RAM, and keyboard, but not really worth full price over my original droid… By the time I'm eligible for my upgrade the Droid pro will be out, D2 hopefully down in price and bootloader broken. I'll wait to see… there are alternatives to motorola

  • Ricky

I hope when they say 4″ screen they mean 4.3″ Screen.

  • Chris

Glad i didn't get the X…The Pro will be alot better if it doesnt have blur!!:D

  • adada

how do we know MOTA956 is the DroidPRO in the first place?

  • ajavgeek

Hope Pro would be worth the wait.
Looking for FF camera, 1GHz+ and HDMI o/p

I wonder if Tablet can be used as phone then no need to carry 2 devices at all….. can use bluetooth for phone :)

  • tiptoptommy

    Sounds promising

I'm holding out for the Pro, hope the wait is worth it.

So… We've seen reports that Motorola is focusing “more” on devices and “less” on BLUR… Count me in as one voter for the DROID Pro demonstrating this adjusted focus, with NO BLUR!

This will probably be my next phone assuming two things occur:
1.) birdman and the other super evil geniuses manage to apply custom ROMs to the X, thus giving me confidence that the Pro will have the same possibility down the road (locked bootloader or not)
2.) no BLUR is on the Pro out of the gate.

After all, can they really call it a “PRO” if they put blur on it? Or geez, at least give users the option to remove / uninstall it if they want. I know there are people who like it… I'm just not one of them.

Is Moto is getting close to the 2GHZ phone?

  • 1bad69z28

A Moto Droid Tablet sounds very interesting can't wait to see the specs. Maybe we can root the pad lol that would be cool :)

Oh Motorola. I just can't stay mad at you. You're just so awesome when it comes to Android with Verizon.

  • Nam

Interestingly, the MOTMZ600 was listed on a Spanish page on VZW's site, but it has been removed: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=

OMG That is big news!!! So its called the Motorola STINGRAY! Makes sense because its long/big but flat and thin! OMG OMG OMG! DROIDDDDDD will rule the world!!!

Is the A855 pink possibly a flip phone or a future droid? I would love to get a Droid in pink:)

    • Bigdav1178

I think the “FPL:MOT A855 PINK” is actually a pink faceplate for the Droid. Sorry for the disappointment

Tablets are stupid. Just like netbooks were.

  • Droidzilla

Can't wait for a good Android tablet! The Moto one sounds like it'll be awesome, as does the Samsung one (1.2GHz Hummingbird, SAMOLED screen). Though there are also some great up and comers running the Tegra chipset.

It'll be Christmas of Android! Eat your underperforming heart out, i*ad!

  • JosueD

    Droid Pro!!!

great news…i might ditch the droid incredible (running 2.1 arrrgggg) for a droid pro. seems like motorola cares about its customers.

    • Eric

Root already and you'll have 2.2

      • http://twitter.com/TonyG916 Tony Garza

when i had the droid, i was a rootin' and rom'in fool….for whatever reason, im hesitant to root the incredible

        • Eric

its easy, even easier then rooting the D1. Unrevoked made a program that does everything for you all u do is install the program and drivers plug it in and watch the magic happen. Take maybe 5 mins at most.
