I tried to reboot my droidx. I get as far as the exclamation and it stops there i tried the home&search key as well as the home&volume down button still nothing..can somebody help on this.. thank you

those of you who r writing comments about how to get your phone into recovery dont know what you are talking about!!! hold power button and home key same time wait for the littel andro man and exclamtion to appear release both keys and press the volume up and down button. dont press volume down only or volume up only the volume up and down must be pressed together. TY this is coming from someone that has had to reset twice now!!! needless to say this will be my last motorola!!!

after the exclamation pops up nothing else happens i tried the search button and volume down neither did anything

I have a Droid X and pressing both Up + Down keys at the same time and then the power button to select worked great. Thanks.

On the new versions you need to hit the Volume Down button in place of the search buttom

Doesnt work on the new Droid X versions!!! When you get to the exclamation point, it hangs there. Pressing “search” or any thing else wont change it. Only removing the battery will reset the phone!!!

This symbol appeared on my phone several times. Can you tell me what that symbol means? The Verizon guy just told me..”oh that’s not good” and they sent me a new phone..and that phone does it too!. So, they thought it was the battery and sent me a new battery..well, it did it in both phones. Ugh..WTF is it?? Thanks!

Could someone please help me……. My droid x is about a month old and all the sudden last night it froze on me so i shut it off and when i went to turn it back on all it would do is go to the motorola screen and stay there…… I tried the reboot and it still wont come off the motorola symbol screen… Does anyone have any suggestions on what i could do…

I am quite interesting in this topic hope you will elaborate more on it in future posts. Thanks Kellex for your help with getting me rooted with my droid now im on to the droidx I hope you can come out with a way soon to root the droidx because I miss my root already.
