ACircuit Board Live Wallpaper Brings the Geek

I love live wallpapers, but even this new one might be a little too geeky for me. (Maybe.)  The aCircuit Board live wallpaper has launched and shows you what the inside of your phone could possibly look like, only on your screen.  It’s fully interactive, changes lights when you toggle on or off certain settings, gets crazy lit up, and costs about a $1.13.

Easy option to get useful information as well as share good stuff with good ideas and concepts Developer made new live wallpaper. but I don't know what it is exactly. thanks for shared this with us.

  • mbaldwin85

Just root 2.1 then jump on up to 2.2. its well worth it. Sit back and watch your benchmark score rise. Got mine @ 1312 or something. Ive seen others higher though

Developer made new live wallpaper. but I don't know what it is exactly.

  • Luke

Haha, wtf, why do the resistors, caps, and solder points light up, they are not LEDs

  • Fireproof1905

this wallpapers alrite, i'd like to see someone else do another new verizon “rule the air” life paper.. The one kellex reviewed was ok but could have done a little neater work or maybe make the antenna transmit like the commerical….

  • Ryan C

Am i the only one with a Droid 1 still choosing to run 2.0.1? and waiting until the 2.2 release. can i jump from 2.0.1 right to 2.2 or do i have to go to 2.1 then to 2.2?

Love it! As an old school electronics geek and broadcast engineer, it's perfect! Great job, simple, slightly flashy and totally nerd worthy. Well worth a buck and change.

  • Legoturtle92

I usually switch between the Droid Neural Network and the Droid X Live Wallpaper

  • RB13TT

Let me elaborate… this kinda thing is so simple to make….

I'm not a fan of most live wallpapers (except for the Mario one!), but this one has my inner geek going crazy. I showed the video to my wife and I'm pretty sure she mumbled something about questioning why she married a nerd 8 years ago (and this is coming from someone who loves Star Wars and dressed up as Princess Leia for Halloween in high school). This tells me that the dude who suggested disabling this when trying to meet women is spot on.

    • Grimlyte

…Strangly enough its probably the first thing my wife thought was cool on this entire page. She just saw it over my shoulder, and yes, i was shocked aswell.

  • RB13TT

They need to make more useful Live Wallpapers like this. I always liked the Xperia “Aquarium” notification wallpaper.

Where if you receive a text, a different colour fish would swim about etc.

  • Timmah

I'll pass on paying for a motherboard. xD

Wow. They did it with this one. I'm a geek, but….wow.

    • kellex

      Jackie! Tonight is the night!

  • palomosan

That's the best none stock wallpaper ever and at 1.19 that's not bad.

$1.13 for a live wallpaper… ? I dunno Im really loving the beautiful widgets live weather, and the droid x green eye is another one i go to and from. why pay when you can get something as awesome for free? :D

      To support :-)

Sheesh… How poor are some of you folks? If you like it you really should buy it! We need to support the devs… $1.19 should be total NOISE in your budget… most people LOSE that much change in the course of a week…. if you can actually afford to own an android phone plus data plan and like the wallpaper this should be an impulse purchase all the way!

      • Blade797

true that we should all help out our brothers and sisters in the digital world!!!

Added you to the credits btw. :)

  • djenks24

Phone status wallpapers would be cool, maybe this will spark some ideas. I havent seen this before.

    • EC8CH

YES! Let's put Live Wallpapers to some actual good uses.

  • EC8CH

This wouldn't work on the I*phone 4. It's insides are filled with Pixie Dust and Unicorns.

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/XBSOMD2CBLSMB2SLWMSHFLYBAU Andrew K

      I don't care. (its)

      • EC8CH

That's not an apostrophe… it's a tear running down Chuck Norris's hairy cheek because he heard you don't like him.

      • StephanC

        I don't get you.

    • Droidzilla

Here's a shot of the related i*hone live wallpaper:
      http://mrbarlow.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/uni

      • EC8CH

That sunflower by the unicorn's leg explains the “yellow spot” issue.

        • Droidzilla

Or it could be unicorn pee . . .

Either way, we can all agree that the screen yellowing is magical.

  • holidayK

this is off topic, but is anyone else scared about having motoBlur on the DX? with it delaying updates and all? I'm scared all these people getting the X are gonna be happy on release, but sad come future updates. What do you guys think? Do you think the DX will be easily rooted? because it has an encrypted bootloader supposedly which means no custom roms, unless it's cracked.

    • EC8CH

If the bootloader is cracked then the Moto UI skin is a non-issue.

Cracking of the bootloader depends upon the commitment and determination of the developer community.

      • holidayK

so it doesn't have motoblur on it, just a custom UI specifically for the DX, but it also has MotoWidgets on it? so when updates roll out the DX shouldn't be left behind right

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/XBSOMD2CBLSMB2SLWMSHFLYBAU Andrew K

MoroBlur isn't on the DX. Have you been living under a rock?

      • EC8CH

Chill out buddy… maybe not “Motoblur” but it does have a custom UI, which makes the concern spelled out in his post valid.

      • kellex

Andrew, love the fact that you comment like crazy, but lately it's been all negative reactions to people. You've been flagged like a dozen times in the last few days. Just try to tone it down a little man. We're here to be happy, not tell each other how worthless we are.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mike-Janacek/1087230071 Mike Janacek

          Amen Kellex!!!

        • Barlog

Your awesome kellex! This is why I love DL I don't have to worry about someone calling me stupid if I ask a stupid question everyone's always welcoming here. Thanks for keeping it that way :-)

          • http://twitter.com/DerekWeber Derek Weber

            Shut up, stupid!

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=705034 Jeff Simpson

Pretty sure it IS MotoBlur – perhaps they aren't calling it that, or perhaps it's changed a lot, but the leaked ROM for the DroidX has files that have “Blur” in the name. That's a pretty good indicator in my book.

        • EC8CH

What distinguishes it as NOT “MOTOBLUR” is that it does not sync your data through the MOTOBLUR service. The data is aggregated on the phone instead. What is left is a UI skin and some widgets.

  • rockymtnhigh

Kind of cool, but I'll pass. It would be fun for about 5 or 10 minutes, then I'd get bored with it.

  • Dito_Muertez

    What's geeky about that? B-]

  • EC8CH

I want it to show my CPU on fire when the temp reaches 140 Degrees on my overclock.

    • http://www.myspace.com/abrielband Tim-o-tato

      Mmmm…..overclock. lol

    • Paul E.

+1 to you. That made me LOL. Maybe an egg frying on it or something, too? LOL.

    • http://techdeft.myopenid.com/ TechDeft

Same, this has me thinking of way more possibilities.

We know live wallpapers can be interactive. This LWP shows that it can display system status.

Can we really be that far from say, music and power control integrated into a background?

  • andrew401

that is cool, but it's just not my style at all. a little too geeky for me

  • Droidzilla

    That is AWESOME!

Just be sure to turn it off before you whip your Droid out to jot down a girl's number. One look at that and she'll give you a phony number for sure.

Still, it'll be a hit at all of your LAN parties and Stephen Hawking fan club meetings.

  • http://twitter.com/C3V3 CeeVee

I really like how the calendar and status have been built into the paper. I think this is my favorite Live Wallpaper
