I just carry two (2) batterys around. One in my phone and the other in my trk. One of them is always charged. Helps out a lot.

Can't be much of a battery increase since its only 200mAH more than Droid1. If this is thinner than they should make an after market one that could fit the size of the Droid1 and add 400mAH or more to the original Droid1 BP6X battery.

I doubt it. Most new phone's batteries are all significantly different.

Well according to google, “its poor applications that eat up the battery”. Now with this being said lets see how well things can be fixed. Having to carry a charger with me if i wanna use my phone for the entire day is a bit annoying and charging thru USB takes foooorrrever!! Of course newer the phone, better the battery.

I just ordered a 2800mAH battery from Seidio (http://www.seidioonline.com/category-s/3898.htm) on the 27th, they told me it shipped today. It cost a bit but I use my Moto Droid constantly, so it'll be worth it. Judging from the remarks above by people using the 2600mAH I shouldn't have to sweat the juice anymore..

I have the 2600 battery for 4or5 mths. Now I get approx 5to6 hrs surfing and videos nonstop if you don't mind the weight or thickness it great but the con is both docks won't work due to size

Just wait for a few months after its released, Seidio will have a double battery just like i have in my Droid 1, 2600mAh…..they now have a 2800 for Droid 1 which ticked me off when buying this one but oh well. This battery has teh awesomeness battery power, never dies…..ive even tried to kill it but just keeps going even listening to slacker radio all day hahahaha

yea me too. I bought the Seidio in dec. With the 2600 mAH its lasts alot longer. I can't go back to a reg. battery now. No way. But glad to see the new phones getting a little more gas.

The Droid is about 1.5cm high, the Seidio extended battery adds .9cm to it! It's enormous, but if you need your phone to last 2-3 days without any charges, then it is worth it.
